[TF2 Challenge] The Stock Soldier | A Trip Down Memory Lane!

After so many years of using my everyday loadout, I realized I haven't used the stock loadout in forever. I remember I had to use it when I was playing TF2 for the couple of times, so I decided to bring a little bit of nostalgia and try and use the stock loadout again, after years of not using it. So let's see if I can still wreck some people, or if people treat me different, while using this stock loadout!

Same here, except I mainly use it because it crits practically every single time you want it to. Also I use the Mangler and Conch. Imo, Mangler is kind of a direct upgrade to.. well.. everything. Conch because uh.. I’m kind of a coward but don’t want to be obvious about it by using the Escape Plan.

@@ArkenKobold same, (kinda) i don't like the mini-crit vulnerability when using the escape plan, so i use the whip to get a speed boost, and the conch, just for that little bit of health regen. I used to use the cow mangler along with the conch for a "self sufficient" loadout (no need for ammo boxes and you regen your own health) but i ended up settling down with the stock, whip and conch

Stock is so reliable until you get to the shovel. Then it just becomes OP, like why does soldier get the most broken stock melee weapon in the game along with a shotgun and reliable rocket launcher, the shovel is a mans man weapon. ( Also amazing video )

Edit: okay! I realized the reason that the hats unequip from the itemslots is because the bots are doing it! And good news! You see there's another level. I have a pc too old to run tf2 so my only way to play the game is the 2007 orange box release version. There were no hats, weapons, and so many glitch fixes. Come back to that community and see the terribleness of it all. It's sad yet satisfying.

I’ve got the orange box Xbox 360 version. There used to be a bunch of modders back in 2018-2020, but now it’s just normal players most of the time. The only time I’ve enjoyed having a modded is when they somehow made a payload map, it was interesting

"My only way to play the game is the 2007 release version" 1. Theres no offline bots in that version, so what do you play? And the original version is still activated through steam, which would auto update it, so how are you playing it at all? 2. Theres mods to remove hats and graphical effects from the modern version of TF2, so why wouldn't you use those combined with the hundreds of console commands you can use to improve FPS? Unless you have something truly terrible, like honestly just herroundous, in that case don't even know if you could run Steam, then I think you'd be able to run it at 30+fps. I know I'm late but theres too mant blatant holes in your comment to believe it.

Ok I know these bots dont exist anymore but what would happen is they would equip 3 cosmetics in the same cosmetic region and the system would try to remove it but something would go wrong and the system would go wacko and remove everyone's cosmetics

The best most viable loadout for soldier is the rocket jumper, gunboats, and equalizer. If you run anything else you're doing it wrong.

The stock shovel is super underrated, especially when used by a pocket soldier It's by far the most consistent damage dealing melee, and has saved my ass when out of rockets more times than you'd think When using a banner or gunboats it's a pretty good pick. Not the perfect option by any means but it's still surprisingly good and doesn't get enough credit

I feel like with the stock launcher a shotgun is not necessary, given the fact that you will kill pretty much everything with those 4 rockets. I only use the shotgun with the black box. Oh and also great videos man, keep it up. I love the cosmetics you have as well

After my 2,3k hours I started removing all hats and using stock weapons, no reskin. I've noticed that people don't expect you to be good the first time they meet you on the battlefield, but they adapt really fast, people don't judge your experience with your hats that often. Except medics, idk why but even on the top of the scoreboard they only heal you without overhead or undercharge, I don't remember being ubercharged even once since.

try playing on an alt with no tf2 items and f2p status just to see what its like, and maybe play without mods too, the 100% new player experience or try playing with a stock loadout except sometimes you equip expensive things like the dragon slayer shotgun or the australium rocket launcher just to see people's reactions
