Here is a video going over some of the community feedback in regards to tf2 faceit, and what new features and updates are to come from tf2 faceit in the future.

I'd warn against blankly stating that being afraid of something that *might* be a problem shouldn't happen, because it absolutely should. Dodgy terms of services are always a red flag, and intention or not, FaceIt will need to be held to not abuse that.

There's only one thing I hate, it's to be banned for "leaving" the game when I just crashed and I can't go back enough in time... But anyway I still love Faceit, I played it in 2017-2018 when it was just 6v6, so I'm glad they're back, and at least they're doing something for the game compared to Valve

If they don't change the flow of using their platform (queue -> connect -> play -> disconnect -> queue) nothing they change will really matter. The worst thing about face it right now, in my opinion, is that flow. It really disrupts the game and just makes the experience more annoying than it needs to be. About the creators, I think the problem is how adamant some of they are about protecting face it, as a brand. Some youtubers/streamers have even went out of their way to bash and ridicule players who didn't like face it or had specific concerns about it. I believe that's what made a part of the community rancid towards them, at least in a general sense. About the anti-cheat, ultimately it is up to the player whether they want to install it or not (although I wouldn't, considering it is a hassle to uninstall it and considering it really takes a toll on your PCs performance while it runs). What I really dislike about it is mostly what some people, like you did in this video 7:12, have been saying: that if you are not playing on a """"""standard""""" machine, then you are to blame. I find that really scummy, especially considering tf2 is officially supported on multiple operating systems. And it's not like only cheaters are asked to use the anti-cheat, I know quite some people who are legit but for whatever reason (that Face It won't disclose) they were asked to install the anti-cheat to keep playing, and some can't because they are on linux, mac or windows 7. It really sucks hard. About Face It's interest, of course they are after money, that's their main interest on this, that's how companies operate. Face It isn't a community effort, they are not a non-profit. You can be sure that as soon as they find supporting TF2 is not profitable, they'll ditch the game, like any capitalist company would do. There's even a precedent for that: Face It tried supporting comp tf2 back in 2017 and they dropped support for it because it wasn't really profitable for them. In the end, people will play where they have more fun, and that's for the best. I know I'll keep playing on community servers, where the real TF2 is at, in my opinion.

The flow doesnt bother me personally but i understand if it does for you. Just really easy n simple for me so far. I agree with you about the creators. Why tf would they ridicule people just because they dont want to use something? it doesnt make sense to me. I personally havnt had issues with performance with the anticheat so didnt know to cover it in the video. The fact that its hard to uninstall really isnt doing any favours to the TOS issues either. RE the less common machines: oh i dont think the users are to blame at all i didnt mean what i said to come off that way at all. I meant that its just expected that less used machines and operating systems will have less support, but i hope it changes in the future. Yeah i really hope faceit doesnt just leave if the money runs out. It will show that they are just exploitative. For the time being though, personally i think they are trying to help the game as well as profit. Thanks for watching !

-You need premium to go alias (to change nickname while playing on their servers) -You need premium to collect rewards for going through the league (Like from unremarkable 2 to unremarkable 1)(not so important but still) -I personally had problems with balance for a few matches in a row now. -Cooldown for leaving/being timed out. -It doesn't matter what you did or didn't do, you WILL get forced to install anticheat. Like really, one match, and I'm suspicious somehow. I EVEN WAS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE SCOREBOARD, how am I suspicious????? -Whatch stop payload is NOT fun. Especially if you are being stomped. -Also, if it's "casual" then why can't we observe in third person while dead? It's casual anyways. -Dustbowl.(that one IS A JOKE) -Contracts takes forever to complete (also something minor but still). -Ladders promote pubstomping.(yes minor once again). That's everything I personally don't like, you can ask whatever you want.

Faceit had a Teamfortress 2 competitive community, even a beginners league. It just died. The name was Tf2PL or something similar. They're taking the opportunity of the bot situation to try again as well as expand. Edit: I didn't use it much as my other friends but I'm going to have to ask them about the specifics since some of them were REALLY into the grind and probably remember better then I do. So their might be an update.

Yes, warmup time absolutely needs to be shorter.

Umm.... Kinda no. With current warm up time everyone can join in time and not get timed out, I'm sometimes loading for a while so the only thing why I'm in match on time is warm up.

On your comment about the anti cheat, you’re essentially saying that you shouldn’t be worried until there’s actual proof they’re selling data? The CEO even mentioned that they take screenshots of your desktop. I don’t need to know what they’re doing with my data, but I don’t want anybody prying at my shit regardless of their intent. Of course they’re not gonna be open about what they do with confidential data but that should still have people worried that they’re collecting it in the first place. Also I recall that the AC runs at all times, even when the game is closed. I forgot who told me this but it’s just something to note. I hope only the best for faceit, but then collecting data is a major deal breaker for me and should also be for anybody who values their privacy.

Faceit feels a lot less like casual to me, a less experienced player just trying to have fun. There is definitely a ton of tryhards and more experienced players, but I hope that'll balance out over time

Yeah, but at the same time there is a reason TF2 doesn’t have TDM, and why it’s all objective based game modes, and that’s because TF2 simply works best with an objective. Even player destruction had an objective so it isn’t just TDM.

The anti-cheat is what ruined FACEIT for me. If I'm using FACEIT the game is very hard to play while streaming, with fluctuations between some lag a metric ton of it. How do I know it's the anti-cheat? The first few matches I played FACEIT didn't make me download it. Then after one of them it did. After installing the AC my game runs how it does now whenever I'm using FACEIT or even if I just have the anti-cheat open while on Valve or community servers. Having the AC open also prevents me from streaming TF2 directly to OBS, even with a full screen capture, so I have to go through another program such as discord or something which just makes the slow down even worse. I appreciate the precautions they're taking to keep bots out, but why does their AC affect performance *that* much? Normally I can run TF2 pretty smoothly, even while streaming at about mid range graphic settings. With the AC running, it's barely playable let alone watchable with low range settings

@@OrisTV Hey you don't know what you don't know. I'm also running on somewhat outdated hardware but its not like it underperforms for TF2 by a large margin. I'd guess that most people without issues A: arent trying to stream, and B: probably have hardware that well overperforms for what TF needs. Im glad it works fine for most people and they can enjoy it without bots at least

to all the Linux gamers that got forgotten in this video, you can get past the anticheat just like valorant's, just look up one of those videos, check if it works on a smurf faceit acc, bababooey, play good servers, keep all your data (also the reason everyone is fucking on the anticheat is because it's fucking KERNEL LEVEL SOFTWARE, controlling the very core of your system, and is always on as long as your PC is on, so good luck having any bit of your data n o t getting processed)

Main problem of the argument is that just because a bigger company does it, it does not mean that it should be ok. Also the premium right now feels like you're paying to get something you would've earned, but they decided to take it away. It doesn't "feel" really great, but that's just my opinion.

@@OrisTV Yes, it is available to free users, but the way that they are doing it feels manipulative. For example, the ladder points not being redeemable unless you get premium feels like they're blocking you from getting stuff that you have earned. Let's say that they did not show you the points until you got premium. It would feel like you're getting a bonus rather than paying for something that you earned and that they kept you from redeeming. At least that's how I feel about it.
