A few years ago I found a guy with about a $1000 bp selling all his stuff for way under price, he didnt even care, just gave him keys and he gave me the items. I thought he was cashing out and being charitable and I got some great deals. Tried checking his account a few weeks later and it's gone, pretty sure he got hijacked and a scammer was selling everything for pure as fast as possible...

Was kinda hoping you would have looked the guy up and tried to get an update on his life, if he ever came back to tf2 etc. I think getting something for free really depends on who you get it from. If its a stranger or random giftapult type thing it doesnt have much value to you but if its a gift from a friend it means so much more. It doesnt matter if its worth 30 cents or 30 dollars if its a gift from a friend I am cherishing it and keeping it forever.

I do something similar, i get a bunch of all-class hats and maybe some strange weapons and i give them away to ppl who clearly are new to the game and just want a cool hat to start off

I gave 4 tickets to a dude I met in a trade server several years back, I wanted to do mvm with him and teach him as it was his first time playing. We completed the tour and the dude got a 4 box and it was a black box. Needless to say I was pretty jealous but happy for him 😅

This happened a few days ago, i sold my first unusual hat for 9 keys, it was a subatomic a head full of hot air, i even have a pp of a drawing i got from it, but i wanted more and sold it, i had never felt so empty after a trade before, but now i have a really good all class unusual hat :/ i guess u really start loving your things over time

Haha well you see this one time when I was still a f2p playing medic this very nice guys was like "oh you dont have any hats?, let me fix that real quick" (at the time I only had the gibus I think) and gave me a blighted beak and a dough puncher And I still treasure those items to this day
