I find it funny how the big TF2/MvM KZbinrs with thousands of followers, especially the Doofus Who Shall Not Be Named, claim to love and care about MvM, yet they cannot even be bothered to check out the gargantuan treasure trove of quality community MvM content that has been passionately made over the years. Leave it to the people who genuinely love MvM for the gameplay like us to give the talented MvM community content creators the attention, recognition, and praise they deserve.

Some do! For instance, the yellow-tinted blimp on Nightsky Nightmare (on the map...uh..Nightsky), on the bee-themed wave 5, drops a few Scouts on death! I know this because I made it!

It's good to note some of the custom bots you can run into in Potato MvM as they are the general dividing line between Valve MvM and Community MvM. Said custom bots force teams to be more adaptable. Plus some of them are just cool.

One of the more interesting gameplay puzzles I’ve run into there are big heal medics (regular heal rate so high even quick fix Uber can’t compete) which force you to deal with the medic first, and armored medics (500 hp Uber medics) which are much more difficult to oneshot without specialists like spy.

I remember one that is a soldier that rocket-jumps really quickly and tries to hit you with a market gardener that deals like 300 damage per hit, he has like ten thousand health and his name is just "Gary" or something like that

If only we could actually see some of these being intergrated into new tours, finally give us a second expert tour. I love the idea of the blimp and think a supped up one on a final wave like the triple tank on rottenburg while having smaller ads attack would be neat.

Dragon's Fury Pyro bots are an absolute menace during the early waves with low amounts of money. Even a solid defense can crumble with a few of these bots because of how good their aim is.

I started back in the Titanium Tank Tour in like 2017, and now I’m always keeping an eye on the community news to see if a new tour is set to be released anytime soon. The April fools maps are by far my favorites though. It doesn’t get much better than looking for hotdogs while slender man chases you, or going into a boss fight against Obama and Biden.

4:16 Ive played custom missions that have had explosive gas pyros and they are utter cancer. The Gas Blast deals Generic damage, which isny affected by any form of damage resistance, so there is no surviving it as any class other than Heavy or Scout with and overheal.

you can sap sentries on sentry gun tanks and even destroy them with red tape recorder (I think they used to have infinite health) pyro on most missions with blimps just jump to their top by using jetpack, and heavy against tanks is bad 100% of time if he has robots to shoot

i remenber one time i join a random community mvm server and one wave was pirate theme a lot of persian persuader demos a ton of loose cannon demos for some reason soldiers with the bison support was scouts with the shortstop and for some reason classic snipers (i guess supposed to be musketiers i dunno know) and the boss was that giant loose cannon demo from rottenburg i wish i save that server x,D was really fun to play it

I mean at least heavies could still shoot the Blimps even if it's not as effective, Demoknights would LITERALLY be able to do nothing cus they can't reach the thing unless the map has ramp points for Demoknights to charge launch themselves. Come to think of it, it would be funny if Blimps took SIGNIFICANTLY more melee damage so those super rare situations of Demoknights launching themselves at it could be worth it... or I guess regular sticky jumping Demos or rocket jumping Soldiers maybe

Shame that as for 2024 apart from potato tf (and that "lazypurple server") there is no other community server hosting community made missions on community made maps... Its either those boring infinite money servers hosting vanilla maps with vanilla missions or other community servers hosting vanilla maps with vanilla missions or those x100/x1000 which some of them dont even work properly or those uberupgrades that still dont have a button to upgrade everything at once (and lets not forget those hyper upgrade servers that just dont work...) Wouldnt be a problem if all these servers just didnt ban gas passer entirely, you literaly have no way to use explosion on ignite on community mvm which is silly, especially on community boot camp missions (when there is no new tour going on...) but you can still use explosive headshot which is also broken and very easy to use in mvm... No wonder why most ppl these days dont play community server Community mvm has so much potential, but its such a disappointment...
