I met one of the dudes that works on tf2 classic that made a couple of community spells for tf2, he said that every time he posts spells on the workshop he receives droves of death threats. it's embarrassing to hear that kind of thing from the tf2 community.

I saw the new ones in the work shop and they look pretty cool, new medi beams, bubbling and swirling footprints, some cool tracers for the machina and shot guns but no new paints though.

There is a completely new set of spells on the workshop so if they do bring back spells it could probably be these brand new ones. That way it won’t kill the market with the og spells, and we can put spells on newer stuff.

something thats bothering me is how they keep adding new unusual effects but they are all tied to one specific case. they dont feel special or unique anymore so I never really unbox. I wish they would make it so that newly released effects are also applicaple to older hats as well... is that just me?

As always my only wish for the new Scream Fortress is that they bring spells back. Which for the reasons you mentioned will probably never happen. I am still looking forward to it tho! Every TF2 update is a good update.

They changed how sprays work to get rid of abuse, so I'm expecting sprays as a new type of loot. Maybe some new unlockable ones (for some meta gameplay/progression) and special ones from lootboxes. If they do that, why not CS:GO style stickers too? It would give artists new stuff to add via the workshop.

Well they didn't get rid of it, it can be re-enabled in the options. But let's say, if valve were to make stickers as sprays, the community will not be happy, I can assure you that.

I'm wondering if what you said about the spells might turn out to be false. There have been dozens of new spell submissions this year for some reason, my guess is if they _do_ bring the spells back, they'll only include the new submissions. One thing about the cosmetic cases I really dislike is that they only pick submissions made during the current or previous year. Anything made 2 or more years prior just don't get seen by whoever's choosing them. Maps are a different case because there are _far_ less map submissions than cosmetics, and that the map section was only created in 2015. One cosmetic I really, really want and it's been on my wishlist ever since is a misc called "Spectral Syndicate". They're the epitome of TF2's charm that's never been seen by Valve. EDIT: Okay, you were right about the spells. It's such a shame they didn't add those spells in because they would've been a cool throwback.

Alright, I am SO ANGERED by people saying you can only wear halloween themed items during halloween. THIS IS NOT TRUE. If in real-life there is a full moon, you can wear halloween restricted items, like the chicken kiev, Valve did this because haha get it full moon like a human transforming into a werewolf AND because no-one wants to wear a hat for either 1 whole month or less. The problem is that most people don't really look out for full moons anyways kind of making it irrelevant. Plus one day is hardly much time and waiting roughly 29.5 days just for another full moon isn't worth it. But it doesn't matter since eternaween exists and is relatively cheap. (also some people, including me, don't change their loadouts often. So I often like wearing one hat for a long time anyways.)

To be honest, I don't want new hats and stuff. I want Valve to actually do something about the bots and have that be our Scream Fortress update. We need a major fix for the game instead of new hats for us to waste our money on. And if we do get new content, I'd preffer for Valve to actually come up with the stuff instead of relying on the workshop like always.
