The Spohr owner had me when he said they wired the trigger parts. I ran a Wire EDM machine for 25 years and they do extremely accurate cutting. Many parts in the medical field are cut on a Wire EDM machine. It cost more because the process is slower, so he isn’t cutting corners.

I do find it refreshing that IWA is filled with owners and engineers. Wish that happened more often with shows here in the states. The excitement they have is completely genuine. Seriously gonna look at getting a Revo if they make it to the states.

Yeh, but there’s so many people there doing interviews, shot show would need to be like a month long and everyone in the gun industry would need therapy the rest of the year. It’s like going to Vegas. 3-4 days = awesome. 3-4 weeks = actual hell

@@shinobi-no-bueno I guess Shot Show is open to the public though? Because IWA is a strictly specialized trade fair, it's not open to the public. I managed to get in in 2019 on a press pass, but they even restricted press access now by checking your work (you actually need to publish in gun related publications). That's why once you are in IWA, you are treated as a serious professional.

@@Kingzall Plus honestly when pulling out a revolver after shooting numerous magazines through a semi-auto...there's something about that slower mode of shooting that seems to get me back to the basics and really pay attention to each shot in a different way. A .357 revolver also is a perfect partner to a .357 lever action carbine.

@@90whatever Unfortunately in Germany, a standard run-of-the-mill S&W 686 is like 1400 Euros. I just looked up the Spohr revolvers and their basic models start at around 2100 Euros here in Germany, over a thousand less than a Korth. That sounds pretty good to me.

In Texas, black powder pistols from 1899 and previous (including replicas thereof) are not firearms. A modern black powder pistol probably does NOT fit that definition.

Ive seen a few people comparing the revo to the alien. However I think a large component of the Aliens design is being overlooked when people are comparing these two guns. The Alien is gas delay operated. To my knowledge the revo is not.

Obviously there are many different levels of products, both in Europe and in the US. however, in Europe there really isn't the "crap level" The really low quality guns. That's probably because it's generally more difficult to buy and transfer a gun, so you don't want to end with a crappy one, while a US customer can be tempted by a very low price. In Europe also customising your gun isn't a thing, except for competitive shooters. European customers want to have functional guns directly from the manufacturer. That's why, while "high end" products are "high end" both in Europe and the US, European guns are, on average, better.
