No shotgun on the list??? I'm very surprised. Everyone should experience the joy of a Mossberg 500 or Rem 870 before they die. You can pick one of these up for about 200 bucks and the shells are dirt cheap as well. The pure joy of obliterating a television, erm I mean target at close range is never forgotten. To quote the Simpsons: "...like God must feel when he's holding a gun."

I love my 870 express. People who play video games just don't realize that buckshot can kill out to 75 yards (if you have a good choke) and a lot who live in fear of 12 gauge recoil are pleasantly surprised to find out that 2 3/4 target loads don't hurt a bit

Also an original working variant from WW2, an German Flak 88. If you are a WW2 collector like me then you haven’t lived until you fire one. 1. Too expensive, heavy, and power hungry for anything but a military to operate. 2. Yeah okay. 3. No reason to choose this over just about any other semi-modern LMG except video games. 4. Unreliable mags, stupid rate of fire, rare and expensive. 5. ...The MP-5 is already on the list. Integral suppression is just redundant. 6. Stupid movie gun with zero actual applications; Uncontrollable in full auto, which is the only reason you get one, massive, and expensive. 7. Completely uncontrollable. Useless feature to give a handgun. 8. Another yeah okay. 9. Almost as overrated as the AA-12. Rate of fire was too fast, they’re too expensive, very very heavy and they’re not particularly accurate. 10. Even in military use, only gets used seriously for ordinance disposal. Good. Good call on the .22 Bolt action. The first rifle i shot was a single shot Remington Target master when i was about 5-6. Loved it, it was so accurate i used to shoot clays out from under my father at the range that he was trying to hit with a scoped .30 cal rifle lol. He used to get so pissed off hahaha. That rifle and "penny drills" taught me to shoot steady. I got to the point i could open/close the bolt without the penny falling off the barrel.

Thanks for your video. I would change alot of numbers but with your Nr 1 you showed me that we have the same tast but like different guns. I wish for you you can put a hand on a Vss or dragunov long. I wish you the best. Greetings from Germany

I’m 5/10 here. I’d add an MP7, a desert eagle, suppressed MarkIV, a real grease gun, and a full auto Thompson - the last being a real Cadillac of a sub machine gun

The M16 was hated by most Vietnam soldiers because it's constant jamming

the inital m16's did suck. then they revised and made them like-able
@robashton86068 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I wondered about that one. Everything I've seen and read seems to say that the troops hated the M16 in Vietnam. Under powered, unreliable so in need of constant stripping and cleaning, and too fragile to use in a melee situation. Clout someone with it and bits broke off. Heard bad things about the M60 as well, the worst being that the trigger group had a tendency to fall off the weapon when you weren't looking. Vietnam must have sucked harder than it had to if you couldn't count on the two main infantry weapons you needed to stay alive.
@nellsonstout70018 жыл бұрын
Rob Ashton because the soldiers were told that they didn't have to clean them, and the constant hear can screw up the plastic. This according to my father, who was there at the time of the switch from M14 to M16

original stoner M16 that were issued to the soldiers in Vietnam had jamming issues the weather and the conditions that the soldiers were fighting in we're causing problems with the rifle they had to come back through and retrofit them to correct it issues they Chrome the barrels and they worked on the internal mechanisms after that them 16 was the preferred weapon by us combat troops in Vietnam and conflicts after that

My top 5 would be like this: 5: A true AK-47 4: M16 or M4 - Have tried shooting with a HK 416 3: Saiga 12K - Would love to try a fully automatic shotgun 2: A WW2-era gun - Preferably a SturmGewehr 1: A high-caliber sniper rifle, such as the Barrett M82 - Actually held one. Heavy weapon indeed And a honorable mention goes to the MG3 light machine gun.

4:40 I heard otherwise. It's definitely a great gun today, but back in the day I'm pretty sure it had reliability issues, and was considered an underpowered "poodleshooter" by the first soldiers who used them.

Thank you for putting bullups on here, personally, out of all the firearms I've used, the SA80 A2 was by far my favourite.

Anything that uses a .22LR cartridge will always be fun for a long day of shooting, cheap ammunition, low kick and recoil. That being said shooting a Mauser Karabiner 98 Kurz in 7.92x57mm Mauser is always my favourite. Getting the chance to shoot other firearms is just icing on the cake.

I like many younger shooters went for semi autos when moving into rifles from pistols. I now enjoy a good bolt gun more than any semi auto for a day at the range. I think both have their place but if I could do it again I'd have started with bolt guns and focused on fundamentals more before "going fast". Great video:) I completely agree with your number one, instead of a CZ I went with a RPR in 22lr.

I'd like to add an original Remington Model 10 shotgun to this list, in my short life I have shot dozens of different 12 gauge shotguns ranging from H&R single shots all the way up to $100,000+ high end bird guns from the English companies and I always end up sticking to my grandpa's old Model 10 since it has the least felt recoil of any scattergun I've shot to date.
@ccrevival72908 жыл бұрын
I'd have to add a semi-auto shotgun. I went to the range with two .38s, a .40, two pumps, and my 1953 Browning Auto-5. The Browning was, by far, the most fun to shoot.

I think this TOP 10 depends a lot in the place you live... I'm from Argentina and the top10 guns to shoot in my life are very related to our history: 1- "Argentine" Mauser (there are 1891 and 1909 versions) 2- Ballester Rigaud/Molina (1911 pattern) 3- FM Colt System (1911 pattern made by "Fabricaciones Militares") 4- FM FAL (Argentine version of FN FAL with semi/full auto in metric system) 5- FM Hi - Power (Argentine version of FN Hi Power, there are several models around) 6- M-16 7- AK-47 8- FMK-3 "PAM 1 and 2" submachineguns made by "FM" (kind of MP-40 clone) 9- Ithaca 37 (pump action shotgun used by Argentine armed forces and police) 10- Glock19 As you can all see, 8 of these 10 guns are highly related to our country, the other 3 are pretty famous guns. There are others around like Winchester rifle, colt revolver and so on, but to be fair... for any Argentine gun enthusiast at least 6 of those 10 guns that i named are in the rank
