Did you check the headlight connectors? Those do get corrosion on them. That could of helped. Also, Quadratec has heated LED headlights for around $599.00 (rebranded JW Speakers).

Sell your Jeep and just import a thar if you are in serious offroading and take the remainder money for mods bet you will still have money left. Thar is 7x cheap and even stock works better than this junk modified.

Back when I was a teen on a tight budget and had my first (admittedly POS) car, I used to do all sorts of stuff like this. Some said I was polishing a turd, but I didn't care. Anyway, great vid! Very cost-effective yet worthwhile "upgrades." Oh yeah, your neighbor's a good guy! Not bad having engineers (and some of their equipment and tools) right next door.

David STEWART ...KROWN-Rustproofing would truly show amazing results! 😉 Spray it INSIDE the bumpers too! 🙂 Dust will soak up this stuff and form a protective layer and will make it look all dark black. No more rust will ever form again... GUARANTEED! I successfully used it for decades in our salty road conditions up here in Canada 🇨🇦.

Mike Delphine A study done by the Canadian Forces, (Army), found that ‘Corrosion Free’ works the best...I’ve been using ‘Rust Check’ for many years on my TJ, with mixed results...I just switched to Corrosion Free...We’ll see if it’s better...

Peter Ward ...’Rust Check’ is NOT ‘KROWN-Rustproofing’! I have consistent perfect results with ‘KROWN’ over decades... Once ‘KROWN’ is applied once a year the rust will STOP guaranteed, PERIOD! In addition it also acts as lubricant in all those hidden places!

Don't forget to adjust the aim of the new headlamps. You want the light on the road, not in the eyes of oncoming drivers... Personally, I would have added two big round driving lights (wired with the high beam) as well.

You need to adjust sealed beam headlights after replacing them. Also a tip on painting the bumper, I like using the Rustoleum truck bed liner. It comes out amazing. The key with a rattle can paint job is prep. After sanding, wipe down thoroughly with 91% rubbing alcohol. Then spray several very light coats. The last coat can be more.of s uniform wet coat. If you do it this way it won't even look like rattle can.

Due to being a CA Jeep, any bolt you remove, best to apply anti-seize before putting it back on. Preventative maintenance for those CO muddy trails and snowy winters. As for headlight upgrade: JK toss aways from your fellow JKer. Use a new H13 connector and use hi-bright light bulb from your Advance and boom...much better light. As for the grab handles, see your local 4wd shop...skip Amazon. Put one in the b-pillar bar to help grab as you pull yourself up into the rear seat from behind the passenger seat. Change out that light weight bolt in your Harbor Freight hitch shackle to a gr.8 bolt from your local hardware store. Should have gotten the HF led 4" bar lights for those fogs you have there.

Bought a new bumper for my 06 Unlimited, bought a T-55 Torx bit, soaked the bolts with PB Blaster for a week and STILL snapped them trying to get them out. Now I have to pay a shop to get the bumper off. :-( As for headlights, the cheap $90 LED lights you find on Amazon are worth it. I got a pair for my 01 Cherokee and they're brighter than the $310 TruckLite LEDs I got for my 06 Unlimited.
