The power wagon truck is a BEAST!!! I love the color in the interior! The orange color in the interior makes it appealing. I can see someone using the truck for camping as well as off-roading or even as a snowplow. The tires need to be a bigger size because the tires shown on it are too small.

Yeah, I’m just going to keep doing maintenance on my ‘16 and hope the ol’RFE hangs in there. I’m at 103k now, zero issues other than worn steering components that I’ve just replaced. (everything including the steering box) I figure with the prices of new trucks these days and how much it would cost to build it out the way this one is now, there is just absolutely no way I could afford it. Sad times.

They didn't bring back the manual transfer case, it never left. Most dealers spec out the electronic one over the manual one because that is what people prefer, along with the center console. Additionally, the manual transfer case still has to wait for the CAD to engage to get actual power to the front wheels, and the CAD is electronically controlled.

20-inch rims are useless unless you're building a luxury street truck. If they were building a serious 4x4, then it should have 16-18 inch rims. The factory tire diameter can be 35-37 inches to enhance off-road performance. The RHO looks like Ram is trying to build a full-sized prerunner. The horizontal tire carrier was a mistake. Usually prerunners have two vertical mounted tires at the back of the bed for better weight distribution. To make the RHO different from the TRX they need to design a new light bar and give it a mid-travel suspension to give it a unique look. A graphics package is just car manufacturers being lazy. The RHO is replacing the supercharged TRX so if it looks too similar, it will be considered a "cheap" copy. Focus the accessories on what is used in a prerunner or a chase truck.

@ALMX5DP Which truck? The Power Wagon doesn't incorporate any styling from the old military truck. Stellantis put huge rims that are not suitable for a 4x4 with the "Power Wagon" name on that truck to turn it into the Dodge version of a Denali. The Power Wagon could have a modern front grill with the same design as the original instead of the "modern art" mess with lines going in every direction. The RHO is competing against the high horsepower TRX and losing. Why bother with an RHO when you could buy a used TRX. The RHO needs something different that the TRX never had, like better suspension and weight distribution that would make it more stable when driving at high speeds over whoops and rough terrain. A sticker or graphics package is useless because anyone can design their own wrap or vinyl decals.

@ALMX5DP The market appeal of the Power Wagon has been for the people that want a 4x4 that has proven itself reliable on the battlefield. The Power Wagon has appealed to people who want to own a military vehicle but can't find or afford an original. The towing and cargo capacity are second to the sentimental value of the Power Wagon name because the new versions share heritage with the original. If Stellantis doesn't incorporate design elements from the original into the new truck, then they are abandoning that heritage.

So, they can put their Hemi in a concept that nobody can buy as production. But they dumped it across the truck lines. Typical. IF they just kept the Hemi as an option for vehicles, their sales would not have plummeted. At this juncture one is tempted to say R.I.P. Stellantis. But I have no sympathy for what they are doing to themselves. I feel bad for the employees that have no say in what is going on and will lose their jobs as a result of it tho.

Awesome! Thank you for this guys! _Really_ dig the outfitting they did with the Power Wagon, and the paint scheme looks really off-road-y and down to earth. Like you said Andre, the BR rims look a bit "showy" for production, and to me the center part is too busy for an off-roader. Hope they do go with 35's though. The "header" orange accents look great together with the black and tan. Cool interior color combinations too I think. Really hope they keep the 6.4. It's not the most efficient gas engine ever, but at least it's a very capable heavy duty V8. They could definitely keep improving that thing! In my opinion, the HD 6.4 is still a diamond very much in the rough. RAM should keep polishing it may become the best HD gas V8 ever. The points that I really dislike on the 2025 HD are the headlight and grill design and RAM's insistence on using the rotary knob shifter for anything 8-speed in their lineup. Also, using a center mount manual transfer case lever on a six-seater is _such a major_ oversight... Where's the leg room!? *What's the point of the middle seat if you put a lever there!?* It's cool having a mechanical control for the transfer case, but there has to be a better spot for it than where it blocks the middle seat. The combination of vertical *_and_* horizontal lines in the grill is just jarring. It ruins the style and the symmetry of the otherwise flawless 5th gen HD front-end design. RAM really nailed it on the pre-'25:s, and now it looks like it's going down hill in terms of visuals. Headlights are also very, very ugly. Splitting them in two separate levels with a separating line ruins the whole front-end impression. It's kinda like the truck had both of it's eyes slashed and there's a big, fat, ugly, permanent scar across them now. They really didn't need to update the front-end, and they only made it worse. Otherwise everything looks suuuper good on that Power Wagon! Hope RAM continues on strong going into 2025 despite the hard setbacks due to Stellantis' management decisions. And that Moparized RHO seriously looks amazing! The black-grey and blue color scheme with a bit of silver contours is seriously slick! Loving the blue tow hooks! Really like the graphics, and I wouldn't mind having a truck that's basically an ad billboard for Mopar if it looks like that! It also looks _just right_ with 37:s, I think. Have to say the interior is also very good looking. The blue lines and accents go really well together with the otherwise dark interior. Overall, I think they super-nailed it with the styling on that Mopar RHO! But then there's the knob... Never have I seen a more off-putting solution for a shifter in a vehicle. There's nothing about it that I like, and I hate everything about it. The only other things that rotate like that in a vehicle are controls pertaining to minor functions - *not drivetrain controls!* What RAM really should do is *stop forcing everyone on the knob* and at the very least _offer_ to put the *[proper]* Rebel/GT/TRX/RHO style lever shifter in any and all models and trims for their entire truck lineup, and not just on their sporty half-ton toy trucks. RAM needs a proper shifter option for all their trucks and especially all their HD:s! At the very least they could offer a column shifter for everyone who doesn't want the knob. That's what they used in older generations! And it's a perfectly good solution to allow for leg room for a middle front seat, which is the only good reason to not use a center mounted shifter. The knob is just such a polarizing approach to such an integral part of vehicle operation and the driving experience. The thing that makes me _especially_ mad about it is that they already *_have_* both a column shifter and a center mount shifter, but they *_still_* stubbornly put the knob on everything with an 8-speed that isn't a Cummins or a specialized sport truck... Makes me a very sad RAM fan... RAM, please listen: I can tell you straight up, the knob makes me look very hard at the competition instead, even though I'm obsessed with RAM's trucks. That silly thing by itself makes me very seriously consider your competitors. And that's just a straight up loss right there for you. Because if one person feels like this, you can be sure that others do. If that thing becomes the universal standard shifter in RAM trucks I'm jumping ship! I'm not even gonna look at 2025+ RAM:s then. Not unless you would offer a free (or seriously discounted) shifter swap-out job for anyone willing. Please RAM, just be sensible and give people options for proper shifters. Ford, GM and Toyota gets it when it comes to this. Why don't you? Anyway, thank you Andre, Alex and RAM for this very exciting preview of two of the most off-road worthy pickup trucks in history!

Actually in 2013 if you didn’t get the bucket seats there’d be 3 cup holders in the centre armrest. That changed for the Ram DT gen. So no. This doesn’t feel current. Old. But doable. 😂. 🤗

Pros: Hoods nice Interior is a little nice touch If the bed stuff is an option that is nice Hemi still great Manual transfer case still great Cons Grill is meh Wheels ugly just make some decent 17 beadlock capable The tubular step will be broke first time Offroading put the 2020 Rock slider back and a tad wider step on those..

I really don't believe the $71k price on that RHO...at least not out of any dealers. They'll mark up the hell out of those.

I wish that the 6.7 Cummins was available in the power wagon lineup. I prefer the look and the manual 4x4 lever. It's just easier to get a 2500 with the Cummins and put on some cosmetics accessories.

Truck looks like Louie Anderson's dad from life of Louie. Beer belly and stick legs. They need bigger tires. But the budget to get the certification they need for one truck to have bigger tires is crazy big. It worked for Ford on the Raptor, but that is a multi platform verification so it was worth it.

I agree but for some stupid reason small trucks are held to a higher fuel economy standard than larger trucks, which is why “midsized” trucks are now nearly as big as half tons from 20 years ago, and half tons are now as big as one tons from the same era, and small trucks are essentially gone (the only true small truck left is the Maverick, which is essentially an Escape with a truck bed).

The power wagon needs thirty seventies now. I wouldn't pick that color. But put the blue on black from the RHO on it.

This truck will be over $90k plus dealer markup 😂😂😂😂 dealerships in California are still asking $70k plus dealer markups of $10k for 2024 Power Wagons. No thanks, I’ll just rebuild my 2010 Ram when it dies.

Power Wagon with HO Cummins and ZF trans with 35" tyres on 18" rims from factory, with option for 37s. PLEASE!!! If the aftermarket can offer winches for diesels, surely Mopar can figure it out. It would be a perfect offroader/overlander.

as someone who has owned a 2016 power wagon listen to me the truck interior beautiful the exterior it's ight the only complaint I had with the truck and why I sold the vehicle is the 12 mpg!!! Tell me fuel efficiency doesn't matter I dare you. Say you want an overland build want to go further off road good luck finding an extended range gas fuel tank get the diesel you can put a 52 gal in it. Say it's your bug out vehicle you run into the same issue with gas. I want a 4 or 5 cylinder diesel engine it's a medium ish duty truck because of the suspension treat it like it give it a small diesel something easy to make it "off highway" ready. The power wagon is a work horse off road give it a small torquey diesel with alot of gears similar to a unimog. So my input fix the power plant 🤷🏼‍♂️
