I like chrome. Its more chip resistant than paint, it doesn’t fade, it doesn’t oxidize, it’s easier to clean than black finishes, it doesn’t scratch. It looks good. Make Chrome Great Again!

Hi Guys, Thanks for the video. I just bought a New 24 Lariat off the lot I’m glad I didn’t wait to order a 2025. De-content seems to be the plan with the same base price. Changes to the Lariat's 1. 6.8 Gas standard on Lariat. 7.3 now optional 2. Drivers Door keypad is now optional and only dealer installed 3. Leather seating surfaces are now optional 4. Electric adjustable steering column is now optional 5. Reverse sensing system is now optional 6. They removed 12v outlet in located on rear of console 7. Baja interior now optional only with active x (vinyl) seating 8. Now only optional rear power sliding window w/ defrost/tint

What was the median household income in the USA 10 years ago vs now? What is the average price of a premium HD diesel truck 10 years ago? I’ve been a Mopar truck fan for years but the Stellantis era Rams have lost me as a customer. If Ram wanted to sell trucks they would focus on reliability, they would give us the larger cab like we’ve been asking for the last 5 years, and they would make their trucks more enjoyable to drive. I’ve had 3 2019+ Rams, all awful representations of durability and driving experience.

@@josephscheneck1540 I agree, but the Cummins in the 2019+ trucks is a time bomb in itself. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge Cummins fan but the CGI block Cummins engines are a failure point all their own. Several diesel mechanic shops on KZbin, on their websites, and over the phone will tell you that the CGI block Cummins is using is the weakest B-Series block ever produced. It has major design flaws and has been failing regularly before 200k miles. That’s not the quality I know Cummins is capable of and it’s a shame. Move into the 68RFE and AS69RC, Ram took the manual trans out of the picture and didn’t have any great autos for consumers to result to. The 68 can be built to handle power and heavy loads but so can the 10 speeds now, and honestly the 10R100 doesn’t need a whole lot of tweaking to be reliable. The AS69RC (Aisin) has zero aftermarket so if it fails out of warranty the replacement/rebuild cost is astronomical. Pick your battles but shoot man, the Ford has 1 timebomb that can be mitigated with regular filter changes, the Ram is a timebomb that is going to blow up in your face.

As primarily a Ford owner the blacked out Platinum looks good. Still not crazy about the current super duty in terms of exterior design but the black over the chrome is my personal taste. The Rebel grill on the Ram looks terrible imo but I like the color-matched grill all the way to the right.

I just traded in my 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon for a 2024 Chevy ZR2. The Power Wagon did not drive as good. The steering had too much dead space, the tranny was good, but the cab was too small. The interior was nice. The Chevy just drives much nicer with more technology.

Straight axle with recirculating ball steering vs independent front end with rack and pinion. Two completely different systems. People use to say the straight axle was more durable, but both have their issues. If I had to pick one it would be independent front end. By the time the front end needs work, the truck is tired anyway.

I think I will keep getting it done in my tuned fourth gen with the Cummins pushing around 500 HP and still getting great fuel economy. I love the look of these trucks and I’m excited about the new ZF trans. I’m just not looking to upgrade anytime soon. It’s hard to beat a Laramie 4th gen in terms of performance and comfort. The RAM is more arodynamic than the FORD trucks. It is more stylish than the FORD as well. I remember the 30,000 lb pay load you guys put the three top HD trucks to the test... The RAM is the one that held them load back without hitting the brakes even once going down the steep grade. I know the FORD has more pulling power overall. I am waiting to see if RAM indeed does put the new tranny behind the more powerful Cummings.. If they do it will be a top contender for sure. My wife and I are buying a 46' 5th wheel rv and I want to be sure the best truck is pulling it. Which ever truck wins will get the extended warranty added to it.

The Red Ram in my opinion is far more attractive than the work or Rebel trim. That said... I'd still take the Ford. What I appreciate about the Ford is that the grill no longer extends up into the hood. Having that flat(ish) hood line makes me think of pre-2000s truck styling and I like that overall.
