The only grille that looks good on the new Tundra is the TRD Pro. Any of the chrome grilles on the Tundras look awful. "Trying too hard" comes to mind. I prefer the previous generation Tundra grille. Much cleaner look.

I like chrome. Its more chip resistant than paint, it doesn’t fade, it doesn’t oxidize, it’s easier to clean than black finishes, it doesn’t scratch. It looks good. Make Chrome Great Again!

@joecool9739 dude i worked for fca. No. Go educate yourself. Visit a dealership. Check out the cab on a 1500. Bring a measuring tape if you need to. They are different cabs. The HD and the 1500 classic shared the same cab that was introduced in 2009. This is still the same cab on these new HDs.

@joecool9739 the only thing that these HDs got that was "all new" was an updated interior and new front and rear clips. The body is identical. You can swap the cab, bed, and doors straight onto a 2009 RAM 1500.

I just traded in my 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon for a 2024 Chevy ZR2. The Power Wagon did not drive as good. The steering had too much dead space, the tranny was good, but the cab was too small. The interior was nice. The Chevy just drives much nicer with more technology.

Straight axle with recirculating ball steering vs independent front end with rack and pinion. Two completely different systems. People use to say the straight axle was more durable, but both have their issues. If I had to pick one it would be independent front end. By the time the front end needs work, the truck is tired anyway.

What was the median household income in the USA 10 years ago vs now? What is the average price of a premium HD diesel truck 10 years ago? I don't have the answers to these questions, but it seems that income has not kept up with the soaring prices of these trucks. Who are the buyers of these luxury trucks? Businesses?

i had a 4.5 gen ram 2500. the 5th gen interior in the 4th gen cab just didnt work re: spacing considerations. not very comfy for me/my body type. if they didnt address this with this update then im crying on the inside :(

RAM looks like more of a refresh vs. an all new pickup. More like just the headlights and grille are different. That Rebel grille has... a lot going on 😂 I think manufacturers have these think tanks and want their HD trucks to appear more "macho", and they think the best way to do that is to make huge grilles. But it's also for better cooling with these huge power numbers coming out of the diesels now. I'll bet in 10 years we'll see hybridization of the HD trucks, and the grilles will get smaller again. I'm very curious where RAMs power numbers will be with the Cummins.

Like the grill better on the Ford super duty, the chrome and less busy design breaks up the large area of the grill as opposed to the all black blob with an overly busy pattern and textures on the Ram. Chrome tastefully done still looks good and is a more premium look that fits the styling of a truck. On cars not so much.

If I have to choose between the two I think the Ford looks better. I'm very interested in the new transmission and power plant in the RAM. However if it still has anemic AC and no telescoping steering wheel that would not be a buyer. If I had to guess both high-end trims on either model are going to be just under or just over a hundred k. If it hasn't started already I will be betting money we'll start to see 10-year car loans for too long as a normal option
