Ford CEO Jim Farley is completely out of touch with the people who want buy their trucks. Quality continues to go down... Prices keep going up... And dealer lots are still stocked with overpriced trucks that people can no longer afford to buy. The Ford F150 has been americas best selling truck for the last 1 billion years. But recently their crown has been stolen by Chevy and GMC as they sold more trucks than ford for the first time in years. And in today's video I'm going to show you exactly what Ford is doing wrong, and why Chevy and GMC could steal all of Ford's business.

@@jordanainsworth5589 it's a valid concern, profit margin is being abused at the corporate level, out of the dealers control. There is also the attitudes of the dealerships that keep me away. I was looking at the Maverick Tremor and asked to test drive and was told no. After 10-15min of peering through the window, a salesman comes up to me, says nothing and drives the Maverick away from me. Perhaps they were already in the middle of selling it but I'm not sure. I just decided that day that it's just not the time to buy. I had 10k down-payment and 17k trade, but I never tell the salesman that. I prefer to see how they treat me without knowing what I can afford.

It's not just Ford. Every major American company is operating that way. Disney no longer makes a profit, because it no longer makes movies and products for kids. Ford is a car company that no longer makes cars. This is all happened in the last 4 years of Biden/Democrats being in the White, abd forcing the Woke/DEI Agenda of failure on America's companies. While leaving the borders unprotected in a time of war with Russia? Americans better wake up to this threat. America's enemies have walked into America because of the open borders. And have infiltrated the country through politics and businesses. CEO's are failing their companies, but are not removed and replaced with competent people? For years losing money? But say they will not change so the company can be profitable? They refuse to give the customers what they want and ask for? Ford is a car company, but under Farley no longer makes cars? It's happening everywhere. It's not coincidence because people like Farley are not that ignorant. Just promises of riches for selling out to America's enemies. It's too prevelant to be simply coincidence. Hopefully America wakes up or there won't be an America in a decade. America's enemies are here because of the open borders. Why wouldn't they be with no one to stop them?

Since when do Salesmen at Car Dealerships not try to sell cars? It's a commission based job? Everything is becoming opposite of what it should be. And companies are going to go broke because of it. Companies no longer care about making a profit? I believe your comment sadly. Even though it defies explanation, because it is happening not at just your local dealership, but every dealership. And not just Ford but Chrysler too. Take care, and hope this madness ends soon for everyone's sake. And hope you can find ya a good slightly used truck, and save some money too. Peace.

Ford is a car company that has made cars for 120 years. Yet, Jim Farley comes up with the brilliant idea that Ford should no longer manufacture cars. Even though the mid-size car market is up 20% in 2024. How can you be a car company and not make cars? How can Jim Farley still be CEO of Ford instead of working at McDonald's where he belongs? Jim Farley strikes me as a person intent on bankrupting Ford Motor Co. Why do companies no longer listen to their customers, and no longer offer products that customers want and can actually afford?

If they make the products so bad that you stop buying them... you will own nothing If they make them so expensive that you _can't_ buy them.... you will own nothing If they make them so unsafe that you're _too scared_ to buy them... you will own nothing. Welcome.... to The Great Reset.... Sort-of. More like a Reboot to a new, modern feudalism. And you... my good sir; are a slave.... Oh but not by name; they learned not to _call_ you a slave, lest you revolt; or be freed by those pesky "humanitarian" types (Turns out, they're not all bad! Just *nearly* all of them). Yes yes! You're still a citizen... you're just not "more equal than others;" You're not a "Super Citizen," as they might say. Oh, but don't worry, its "mostly just a fancy title, there's nothing you're missing out on... Just the freedoms you have now, that they're already stealing form you left and right. But you don't have any use for them to be honest.... I mean you had it, and you gave it up the split second they said "Lockdown!" Gleefully, even. You had it.... but you refused to do anything but post complaints online as your sons were coached into self-castration, and your daughters were lulled into self-sterilization. You had freedom. But you gave it up for comfort and convenience; and then you lost your legacy. You had freedom, and you refused to ensure you learned how to think critically... refused to ensure your children knew how. So you were easily swayed, and they were easily taken. The lot of you, easily controlled. Basically _already_ a slave. They told you who "you can't" vote for. Then they told you who you even _can_ vote for (nobody likes her, so naturally, it's not up to you). And in the end, nobody will remember you. You don't even remember yourself, do you? They way you used to be? Nobody will remember your family, either. Once the last of your sentient family members fade away. Humanity will die in the dark as the species is converted into low-sentience, organic automatons; living in pods, eating bugs, while being harvested for brain computational power.... or caloric energy.... could be either one... maybe both. But don't worry... VR will be free. The Simulation is always free. Free for you at least.... _prisons_ have always been like that. *It's going to be a Brave New World, in 1984.* You're not gonna want to miss it. *Unless.... you have something you want to DO about it.* Not much time now... if you're considering. There's only about a month until the the curtain raises on the future.

Man, recently I grabbed a 1997 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 from an estate. This truck is so simple, so easy to work on. So much room in the engine compartment. It has power NOTHING in the interior. Stereo is shyte. However, this thing is a little tank. Been off-roading 7 times now, and she tanks everything I throw at it. Doesn't have a lick of speed: I barely pulled away from a Prius yesterday...yes, for real. Highway passing power in today's world of over-priced speed demons is non-existent, but damn if she doesn't put smiles on my face every single time I come flying out of a deep, muddy, water hole. Compare/Contrast that to my F150, where every time I take her off-road I break something. I have really developed an appreciation for these older vehicles as I, myself, have gotten older.

It cost $1800 to fix including shipping the only fender I could find from New Mexico to Massachusetts, shipping the wheel from PA to MA, getting a knuckle from New Hampshire, new ball joint, new axle, frame repair, etc. $1800 including labor. The guy that crashed into me? $5500 for minor damage to his bumper on his 07 Acura RDX that caused no drivability issues. The F-150 'two door' is actually a 4 door Supercab with bonus longer front doors than the Crewcab version. Plenty of storage space in the rear seat area. I removed the rear seats to carry camping gear, a fridge and power station etc. Perfect truck cab size for a single guy with a dog (me) or adventurous family without kids. Usually means a longer, more useful box as well. Similar design to the Ram quad cab or much smaller Tacoma access cab. The Supercab is not only less money but far more practical for many of us truck owners. I ordered a close to base Supercab XLT FX4 in 22 for 35K and no problams or recalls, it's been a great truck. It's the people's fault for trashing companies that were modest in the interiors and trims levels. The reason the Ford and Ram truck lineups are so abscenely expensive is because they got into a tit-for-tat to see who could come out with the most luxury focused trim with the highest price tag. Ford with the Limited trim and Ram with the Tungsten trim. Half-ton trucks that pushed prices to new record highs and every trim level below those trims jumped up in price. That's why a crappy XLT stickers for $60k and a Laramie is $65k.

A v6 turbo charged, direct injected ego boost is going to cost someone a fortune when it gets 100k miles on it. Especially if you’re changing the oil at 7500k miles or more. Labor and parts are so expensive these days, people can’t afford to fix their cars, even if they’re still making payments. Vehicles are too expensive. Some people say wages are too low but I don’t know about that. If wages went up, the price of everything else would go up and we’d be right where we are now. We’re getting fucked is what’s happening

I'll openly admit the tech has come a long way in the last decade, but you cannot defy the laws of physics. Those parts spin at insanely high speeds and generate a LOT of heat My wife has a Ford Edge ST and those turbo's are packed in so tight (with little to no ventilation) it's unbelievable and obvious they only cared if it got out of the warranty period. I personally wouldn't keep a turbo charged vehicle for more than 75K. After that you are just on borrowed time. The simple solution is to stick with N/A. I wish that wasn't the case as turbo's really do pack a whallop in terms of boosting power but the eventual outcome just isn't worth it.

It makes me sad that we as people have become such cattle.. we get herded into which camp is better. I can tell you that as a blue-collar worker, results speak for themselves. Our company has used Chevrolet product for decades, and we absolutely abuse them. However, they just keep going. The truth is most manufacturers would, the reason I say that is because when we break one, we just get it fixed. It wouldn't matter what brand it is. We have had some heavy duty Ford's, blew the transmissions in those, and we just fix them and keep using them till eventually all of them have too many miles and we send them all to auction. The reality is buy what you like. You will take care of it, fix it, and enjoy it because it is what you wanted and like. The truth is they all have problems. Just cross your fingers you don't happen to get the lemon from the batch. Life is too short to act like your vehicle is better than the next. I still see 50 year old Fords and Chevy's on the road. That tells me when you love it, you will take care of it.

That's the thing. They can't afford them. What is happening now is banks are extending loans at linger terms like the gentleman above me said. You can afford 70k payment if it's stretched over 8 years. 70k before interes and down-payment would be 729 (still too high in my opinion) but over the life of the loan you're more than likely paying double 70k. If banks stopped lending at these extended rates you'd see a massive crash in the market. But you know how it goes. The government props the banks and hedge funds and other corporations to stop crashes by bailing them out and making lending standards longer My opinion is after 3 to 4 years of driving every day your gonna get screwed with a massive mechanic bill as cars inevitably wear and tear over time. The more crap the crambn into these vehicles the longer it takes to fix them and making them complicated racks up labor hours. In the end you will see at some point a major crash because this isn't sustainable.

Yes, there are some times where the manufacturer will force a few vehicles on the dealerships, but in the end, the dealerships know what their customers want to buy in that area, so they typically only order what they know will typically sell. As far as the base models, the Ford F150 is the XL, which is a bare bones, steel wheels and bare bed and usually has rubber floors, compared to the Chevy WT (Work Truck) which is what you showed with the steel wheels and bare bed.

The new Ford Ranger costs from $90,000 in Norway. The Norwegian authorities favor anything that is electrically powered. Has large taxes and duties on large engines with petrol or diesel. The only American car brand that sells a lot in Norway today is Tesla. All sales of cars were regulated with rationing after WW2 and sales were liberalized in 1960. Chevrolet cars on Norwegian roads are the oldest of all brands, the average is over 30 years. The golden age of American cars was in the 1950s. Although there was rationing on car sales at the time. Were companies allowed to buy, also doctors, taxi owners, the church, fire and the police. Many American cars were also imported by Norwegian shipping companies in the 1950s. Norway is a neighboring country to Sweden, which is the largest market for classic American vintage cars outside of America. One thing i do not like about silverado is they still wax-coat the frame not e-coat
@hochhaul

So does Ford's e-coating. My 2019 F-150 had rust spreading out from every weld on the frame, right off the dealer lot. If you live in an area where vehicles are exposed to salt and moisture, you have to be proactive about rust.

I live in the same area as this guy and went to those dealerships when I was shopping for my last truck. He goes to those dealers on Sundays when they are closed, but I can tell you that on a Saturday the Ford dealer was almost empty and Peterson Chevrolet was crawling with people. The GMC dealer I ended up at was so busy I had to wait for a sales person to help me. Ford has some problems... people will tolerate recalls and reliability issues, but they won't keep paying those prices.

BS. They are not going to let you slide on 3 months payments. They do a month at most, but not 3. Either way all they will do it tack it back on the back end of the payment with interests. That's not helping people.

In my hometown, they have not lowered the prices yet. They are an independent dealership. If you don't buy it from them, they will not do any warranty work, they will tell you to take it back to the dealership you bought it from. That's why people buy GM products. Their lot is full to the max. The prices around here in Texas are higher than the ones you showed.

I want metal bumpers fit to destroy a Toyota Camry. Manual windows, vinyl bench seat, AM/Fm radio with usb stick, A/C, cruise control, automatic, choice of 6 or 8 gas & diesel, trailer hitch, full length bed. And a place in the dash for adding navigation/CB/ cellphone mount Also the fuel pump, tail lights, headlight & grill replacements should be cheap

People will pay for what they want. As a MOPAR salesman I’ve taken plenty of people out of the competition’s brand and have seen plenty of people leave MOPAR for the competition. It comes down to payment. Also, how much the manufacturer is willing to incentivize their products plays a huge role in the buying process of the avg consumer. The avg price of a new car now days is north of 45,000. Keep in mind that 45000 dollar car/truck/van/suv, is probably a base model without the options a consumer wants.

When I was growing up, trucks were work vehicles. Nobody had one that wasnt for work, then the 70s came along and they became lifestyle vehicles, pretty girls with cowboy hats were on the pick up truck commersials, and eventually there were luxury trucks, people wanted more for their truck dollar. Now you get a truck for what you pay for your mortgage payment, and crazily, theyre still selling, for now.

Thing is, you can always order/buy a basic work truck for around $40k. I think ford calls it the XL and Chevy calls it a WT. This would be most comparable to the trucks of yesteryear. Don’t get me wrong. $40k is still a lot, but it’s a WHOLE lot better than the $80-100k peeps keep complaining about

Check on any car lot for that baseline model and you will be hard pressed to find one. On the remote possibility you do, it is sold or being staged and not for sale to lure you to buy up.

Corporate greed and price gouging is largely to blame for inflation. Inflation goes up 3%, so businesses raise their price 6%. Proof is that many businesses are making record profits - those that can get away with it.

Whats crazy is all though they are priced lower, chevy pickups with cylinder deactivation are ticking time bombs, because of the poor quality deactivating lifters. Im guessing somewhere between 1 in every 30 or 40 trucks have lifter failure by 40k miles. Worked at a chevy dealer for about a year as a technician, and did about 2 or 3 lifter and cam jobs a month. In a small town. I could only imagine how many a big city gets with a lot of people cruising on the highway. There is still no justified reason that an f150 in any tier should cost over 70k. Platinums with the whole package should only be 75k. Nothing more. Having it in the same price range as a lincoln navigator is nuts. Bring the Platinum up to lincolns level if you are going to charge lincoln prices. Like it used to be back in the late 2000s. The base lariat should be 45k fully decked out, maybe 60k max. The xlt should be a 28k to 40k truck depending on the cab and bed size, tow package, etc. For the f250 and f350, their base package should be 35k for the base gaser crew cab 4 door, 6 foot bed. And should peak at somewhere around 85k for a crew cab 8 foot bed dually fully decked out, as in Platinum trim level. Its crazy how high these prices are. The prices made a lot more sense before 2018.

Total cost 58,000 . All of these auto manufacturers have lost there minds with there prices . They think that they can charge what ever the want and people will pay it. News flash the average Joe is struggling to put food on the table there not worried about buying new vehicles . I sure hope all these dealerships were smart and they saved all of the vehicle market value adjustment moneythat they enjoyed. Because the lot rot is starting to set in which makes me smile

I have always been a Ford man from a long-time Ford family. I can remember when Ford mailed us the neat little Ford Times magazine every month. But like all the other American pickup trucks, all the chrome, all the pointless mag wheels, all the weird body creases and design "enhancements" have all taken over what used to be a practical, useful instrument. I want what Toyota just built -- a basic, utilitarian, no-nonsense drop-side pickup truck with a diesel. I don't like the idea of most of my purchase price going toward somebody's pension. Everything must return to balance and proportion.
