There is a guy here in AZ that fit 37s on his Tundra with only an ICON stage 1 lift of 2.5in in the front, and 1in in the back. Stock upper control arms, body mount chop, stock bumpers, no fender trimming, and he claims no rubbing, even when stuffed. According to him, the trick is to get wheels with the right offset. +25. Meaning he pulls the tires in, rather than poking them out. Poking the tires out means a larger scrub radius which puts the tire in contact with fenders and parts when turning. He also removed his front sway bar, which is pretty limiting off-road anyway. So no, you don't need to spend $10k to fit 37s on a Tundra. You just need to be smart about it.

That PHEV joke caught me off-guard... Well, I wouldn't wonder with all that mods! 😁 37-s look pretty damn organic on Tundra, overall a great build! In our country they'd put the natural gas injection system with respective additional tank. And the gas (not gasoline!) price (approx. $0.2/liter) is twice lower than the petrol, so the mileage wouldn't be an issue at all.
