@ Maybe so. Sad, it could’ve done great with a redesign. I’m pretty sure they sold a ton since 07. Instead they slapped a giant screen and the interior looks like it’s from the mid 2000s.

Infinity . . . when the QX30 came out I was stoked! A smaller Infinity, great-looking, sporty-adjacent, economical, comfortable. Oh, Man I wanted that one to succeed. The 2nd Venza . . . it was a placeholder as Toyota finished up the Crown and Crown Insignia. You missed one thing, it the was the placeholder Hybrid SUV.

I find the design of the K4's rear downright inelegant, especially the lights. The Forte was designed by the same person as the Jetta Mark V and had a flowing design.

(Little SE hatchback not the Maxi Countryman or the clubman) It looks like it may be a long time before we see it in the US again, delaying production of electric hatchback in the UK)

Sure, the ZL1 and, to a lesser extent, the SS Camaro competed with the Corvette, but the other trims did not. I doubt many people were cross shopping the lower performance trims with a Vette. The LT1 was the "right" Carmaro, it just came too late.

I’d argue that the Ridgeline was the truck we actually needed but was always made fun of for not being body on frame. The only difference is the size. Ridgeline is a mid size and Ford tackled a low end price tag and smaller truck… which is what people wanted. Also realize that Ford got rid of all their small cars and focused on trucks. Easier to meet CAFE standards and people like trucks. Ford was very smart for doing it.

41:41 they should have built that! Nissan lost its way so hard... They could have done it as a detuned version or something...500hp was probably enough back then to compete with M, AMG, and RS on performance

It’s funny hearing you talk about the Camaro and Corvette. It’s the same reason why Ford, Chevy and Ram didn’t/don’t make a mid size truck is that they thought it’d take away from the full size truck sales. It’s the same with the Camaro… it is taking away sales away from Corvette. It’s gotten so expensive and the base price of a Corvette was always right there. I do agree that GM got to serious. It’s the same deal with the Chevy SS. They’d rather talk and show their cross overs because they sell… the Camaro was always an after thought. Meanwhile the guys at Dodge are doing bat shit crazy colors, trims and names. GM didn’t even do a going away trim. It’s just sad.

I'm not sure buy the Camaro and Corvette overlapping argument. Maybe in the c7 generation? But in the final Camaro year it was more than possible to get a Camaro with a V8 and no handling package for people who wanted a more muscle car feel. Or if you're a young kid trying to get into the performance car, you could get a smaller engine intro level with a few suspension goodies far more affordably than you could get a Corvette. Gm doesn't make the Saturn Sky/ Pontiac solstice anymore. The ct4 non-blackwing is rear-wheel drive but it's not really performance oriented, Or a bargain, even if the chassis is good. I think Ford coming out with the dark horse below the GTD is a testament to how the same model can appeal to different parts of the market for the experience they want from their American Coupe: it can be a convertible cruiser, a drag racer, sports car, or a track weapon. And that's something that is very underrated in today's market. To make a long story short, if Toyota can manage 5 different SUVs that have the same seating capacity (not even counting Lexus), Two sports cars doesn't seem like a big deal.

Cars should be built with two docking stations. One for your tablet and one for your phone. If the manufacturer want to sell you a cellphone and a tablet then great give us a deal. By the way :there have been computers in cars since the cadilac in the late 1970's. Yes they hired a contractor guy G. Creighten. But they are good at computer control systems. They are not good at tablet computer software.

"Too much" and "bad" are not mutually exclusive. Both can be true at the same time and both can be false at the same time. All cars have some level of electronic interface, there's no avoiding it anymore. But it's possible to have a small/ reasonable amount of features, and/or have the features designed and function in a way that is not clunky, laggy, unintuitive, illogical, or an eyesore.

Mechanical bugs, just like software bugs, is why we have Amish people. During the steam revolution and early ICE mechanical things sucked soooooooo much. No standardized parts, nobody knew how they really worked. And it broke some people. So we have the Amish who said no to all that nonsense and will not deal with it. Software is where mechanical things were 100 years ago.

The problem with the Camaro was it's a horrible driving experience. You can't see out of it, the ride is one of the worst experiences, the seats are church pew like, and they really didn't change anything since 2010. It might've been faster on the track, but it's no where near as fun to drive as the Mustang. The Mustang is still around because it's the complete opposite of all those things.
