Yes apparently the rock IS a real rock near Hawaii I think, so the drone shot is real, but obviously they didn't shoot on that rock. It was a set.

Realistically, things like the Garp-Koby plotline getting moved up on the schedule are inevitable. It's the same reason Don Krieg god yeeted over the phone and his fight was given to Arlong. If they don't want it to take 25 years to adapt the story, they're going to have to take the roles of minor characters and pass them along to more major players so their setup can be efficient. And that philosophy also works a lot better in a live action drama format.

i think it is great that they did this Zoro nearly dying scene, so serious, beacsue in real life, people would also be like that :) and so many teasers in this show for the future :D: But tbh Mihawk is one of the best acting characters in this live action, it's so cool how he doesn't give a fk on orders, exact like in Anime XD AND one of the best things, sanji: i prefer to die before you ruin my soup XD

Manga is the original source material not the anime. Manga is written by Oda, while anime is made by Toei. OPLA so far has been really faithful to the manga.

Spend A LOT of money on good CG, and get a good mocap actor, like Andy Serkis.

@@bendover7841 What movies? We weren't even talking about a movie. This show cost like $120m which is pretty far up there in terms of cost. Season 2 will probably be more like 10 episodes and closer to 200m.

I don't see why Robin's power's wouldn't be CGI the same way Luffy's are. It's not like she fights that much anyways. And Chopper could just be a midget with heavy prosthetics, same way they did the Fish-Men.

@@lockekappa500 Exactly. This show cost $120m for 8 episodes, which mean $120m to make 8 hours. A movie like Marvel with good cgi (and sometimes the cgi are bad) cost around $200m for 2 hours movie, which means 1 hour in it costing around $100m. If we want One Piece live action to have their level on cgi, they need around $800m for 8 episodes. And this would never happen.
