We’re returning our slider for the Kessler for the reasons you listed plus the lack of ease-in/out for the gimbal.

Hello dear, does this system work with the RS3?

Many people complain about the bad synchronization of this stabilizer, I have hesitated to buy it for this reason, honestly, of the 10 times you configure it, how many times does it fail?

For the cost of the slider it really is great, but by no means is it perfect and there are definitely issues. For pro work, I don’t use the motor and actually use a camera op.

@@Sergiogfotografia i’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about I’ve never had it fell on me but I’ve had issues where I get a little bit of wobble from the motor for some reason. If you’re talking about using it with A gimbal I gave up because it wasn’t enough functionality for me

An open control interface is what is required so we can select the best parts for the job regardless off manufacturer.......Never going to happen! That's why I developed the Digital Bird 3D Printable camera motion control system which can do everything you ask and more on a budget.

Just bought an RS2 to control it through the CAN robotics connection. (roll axis is a must) Is it possible to pair the Digital Bird slider with the RS2? I'm trying to avoid these horrible apps and work with my own software.

Sounds like you need a camera with killer AF and you’d be in business. That’s a BM issue?
@ReachFilms
@ReachFilms 2 жыл бұрын
Well yes for a lot of reasons, but for cinema the problem with AF is once it starts hunting the shot is ruined, but on that note I literally just sold my pocket 6K for a brand new camera with amazing auto focus and am putting out a video about it this week

just bought a hotdog v3 and bun to use with my Crane 3 Lab, and i'm a little disappointed to be honest. The gimbal and slider do NOT sync up, so you program in your waypoints and by the time the slider gets to even the first waypoint, the subject/object is not in the part of the frame that you want it to be. I'm not saying it's completely useless, but it's not good. You can't use it to shoot products expecting professional results. If you want to dolly across to a subject and the pan as you go by, that's not happening. You just dont know when it's going to start the pan. So, you have to do it by hand. If you're going to do it by hand then you're better off buying a cheaper motorised slider. I suppose it would be alright doing landscapes and stuff, but as for in studio. I wouldn't buy one. Also as a side note. I didn't receive a spare belt and thread adapter with mine. The slider comes with a 3/8 thread on it so you can't mount a dslr directly onto it, or even a gimbal, you need a 1/4. Many of the video's you see state that the adapter comes with the slider along with a spare band for the motor, it doesn't. So to buy an adapter you can get a cheap one off amazon for $12/$10, but, once it's tight the camera might not point in the correct direction. To buy an adjustable adapter you're talking an extra £35/$40 for the very cheapest and about £100/$120 for a good one. Just be aware of this. Can I recommend it? Not without a firmware update fixing the sync issue. But my guess it isn't going to be fixed. When the slider came out 2 years ago this issue was highlighted. A firmware update was mentioned as a solution, but it's never happened. If it's not been fixed by now, they aint fixing it. Basically, this is good as a toy or a hobby. The other problem I've found is that if you create a waypoint and then move the slider and create a second, it doesnt slowly move to the second point. It will hit the first point and stay on it until until it moves to the second point, and then jump to that. It would be better if it slowly went form point to poin. That way you can "track" a subject. There needs to be 2 video modes, a point select, and a drag mode. What you actually can do is create a first point and then use the joystick on the gimbal to track the object, as the app records what you do with the gimbal between setting a and b. The problem with that is this, if ive already completed the move by hand, what do i need the app for? The app really is limited in this regards. Be aware of the limitations before you buy one.
