18:00 Its not directly that he doesn't like instruments of cyanide, its that's complicated for him; Context, before IoC, he was working on another chapter 3 based song, and he even uploaded a promo, but that promo got stolen so many times and people were being such jerks even threatening him for not releasing it immediately that he literally trashed that song entirely. He didn’t release IoC for months after, after taking a break and then taking a while to work on it; He stated its a very complicated song with a lot going on and he was experimenting alot with it and he didnt like how it all came together but he thinks its fine for its backstory

I think I can answer the confusion on Meet Thy Maker. I've noticed that Will's songs recently have been trying to stand on their own, not shackled to the franchises they're about. They don't tend to mention characters, or even locations, with lyrics that can relate to the games, but also stand on their own. To me this keeps them from being.. dated or even a bit cringy. I mean his latest bendy song "Are you proud of me now?" is a perfect example of "Works with the game, and as a stand alone song" with its themes of expectation, and potentially dangerous drive for approval. So yeah, if the lyrics sometimes feel a bit disconnected that's probably why

That's why I liked some of his newer nerdcore stuff so much. Are You Proud of Me Now is probably my favorite Bendy project of his simply because it could stand alone as a song about a drive for approval while still incorporating elements from the game. (Though Instruments of Cyanide is fantastic despite leaning into the game) It's harder to revisit something like It's Time to Die since the only context is FNAF 3 and no real other way for it to stand alone.

"Are You Proud of Me Now" is a really weird case because it's a Bendy song about how Will is tired of making Bendy songs. Considering that he was fed up with Bendy songs while working on "Instruments of Cyanide" and STILL released FOUR more songs for the franchise, the whole move with "Here, I made you another Bendy song, are you proud of me now, can you leave me alone?" seems... like an act of masochism.

@@whymellow182 Well I feel it can be about that, BUT it can also be about Audrey in BATDR, reflecting her feeling of finding out she wasn’t even human, being made of darkness and her having to carry the weight of knowing she will have to sacrifice herself to even try to stop the cycle, knowing it probably not even be a permanent solution. As she says to the Ink Demon when asked what would happens if they fail, “then we can always try again next time.” I totally feel like it can seem…counterintuitive but, it’s Will’s decision if he wants to make another bendy song, even after “Are You Proud of Me Now?”.

Find The Keys Remastered is my single favorite nerdcore song of all time, and honestly one of my favorite songs ever period, and I'm glad to see yall kinda agree I think last time I said that I had recommended all the songs I care about, but I saw a few people in the comments mention "sepiatoned" by CG5, which immediately made me go "HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THIS ONE IT'S SO GOOD I GOTTA ADD THIS TO (my nerdcore playlist)" so I would reccomend that aswell I do disagree with your thoughts on JT Music overall, he's probably my second favorite nerdcore artist ever behind Stupendium, but I understand not completely vibing with them as much as I do because his style is pretty weird lol no other thoughts on this stream, it was fun :) EDIT: Oh yeah also: did you know there's actually a third Stupendium Bendy song? It's called "Cells No More", and while it isn't as utterly masterful as the other 2 (hence it getting less attention), it's still pretty great and probably worth checking out just to finish the trilogy

Some of my.. recommendations, I guess? “You will believe” by Komodo Chords (CG5’s and DA’s remix is especially amazing) “Another Chapter” by TryHardNinja is actually surprisingly good? Both as a THN song (since usually they get kinda.. boring and repetitive?) and as a chapter 3 song (simply because it’s actually fun 😅). But I get it if others still have complaints about it. Same goes for “Angel of the Stage” by THN. Just.. the energy of it is really cool. And very Alice. Yes, “The Devil’s Swing” by Fandroid is still a classic. Absolutely. With and without Caleb’s cover. “Beginnings” by HalaCG! It’s beautiful, about on the same level as “Masterpiece” for me. Also, from less mentioned songs.. “Lifeline” by Dolvondo. Not a masterpiece this time, but I thought it was quite unique and solid. *Absolutely* “Bendyland” by Kyle Allen! *Really* shows so much progress from the.. whatever the beginning even was. Very well-made, and *so* catchy, it gets me completely by surprise every time I listen to it somehow!

If there's a part 3- I definitely think you guys should listen to Mr. Crooked by DAGames. It's sound fits the Bendy universe a little but it's still VERY un-Bendy like. for Meet Thy Maker I see a decently clear theme with it. The start has a lot of references to Bertrum dialogue, and with the second verse being about Alice I can see that the song is about those Joey has betrayed. They want to get their revenge and will kill you to get to it, make you "meet your maker" if you will.

I think you guys are too harsh on Meet Thy Maker as it was ranked not as a Bendy song but as a DAGames song. Anyway i suggest the other two DAGames songs Mr. Crooked (You can tell we didn't want to make that one) and his Boris song. Also check out Behind The Curtains and do FNF songs count? About find the keys : it's one of the Stupendium's ealier songs. It was out before those mid fnaf songs. I think it's the first song that got them popular, i remember listening to it back when it struggled to reach 10 000 views and got blown away by how high quality it was. ike DAgames's anmations are nice but i think it was the first time i saw genuine high quality animation for the whole song. Also i think it was reliesed after chapter 3 so the lyrics are only about the first two chapters, insane work considering that. You can listen to it a 100 times and still find easter eggs and wordplays that you've missed. For exemple, keys, breakdown and inbetween are technical animation terms for frames, and keys are in between breakdowns. It's nice for a bendy song to have so many references to the animation industry. Also the line "so you call yourself an artist well i don't think you even know what art is. They said that art is just catharsis that's why my masterpieces are all pieces or carcass" is insane. Litterally how i view my art as a burned out animation student.
