When the real event took place a few years ago. I was glued to all the news channels for an update. It was a really big event involved tens of thousands of people in the operation. It was a really big relief that they managed to save all the kids. Kudos to all the people involved in the operation.

I saw Thirteen lives and those spaces where so narrow. I got claustrophobic 😭. I can’t imagine how it was for everyone involved in real life. I loved how you saw everybody working to get those kids. The people on the mountain diverging the rainwater. The farmers that gave up their crops to let in flood. Team effort

@Dee8Bee..my husband was watching part of the show until the cave scene then he's like No I can't watch it. He's claustrophobic. I'm claustrophobic in some spaces but the story got me to watch how it all unfolds. He already knew they had to sedate the kids without having to watch the movies.

The ending totally made sense.. especially after learning in the documentary that Dr. Harris Dad died on the last day of rescue, receiving the news after the last boy came out. It was probably cathartic for him. I cried of happiness and relief, but also felt bad for him and to those who died. Must watch!

Actually I never heard about this incident before until I watched this series.. This story is adapted from a true story and happened since 2018.. since I watched this story I searched for this news in the internet/ KZbin and wanted to know more about this story. And I'm also sad because one of them has died in the rescue operation, may his rest in peace 😢😢😢. This story made me cry and feel happy that all the victims survived. The NEW 6 part Netflix series on the rescue and esp the boys stories, is AMAZING. Yet I do hope someone puts it out there that Eak (Coach), as we all know, really saved those 12 children, from a awful slow death. Without his coaching-meditation-support, they would have gone crazy, as anyone of us would too. While Eak was given citizenship, along with 2 boys, Eak deserves a easier life, not a freebe, just support for his education, a good home, etc A GOFUND ME. So Ellen, get it going, lets set up Eak with an easier life, from all of us, worldwide. Eak is the true hero. - so sad to read Beam, the actor playing Eak, has passed, aged 25, in his sleep, in March 2022. Thoughts are with his family.

I enjoyed showing the perspectives of the boys/coach, as well as a heavier focus on the overall effort of everyone involved in the rescue operation rather than being a "white saviour" moment focusing entirely on the divers, which was largely the case for The Rescue and Thirteen Lives, tho Thirteen Lives did do a decent job of showcasing the larger rescue effort like the water diversion. But the thing that I found the weakest about the netflix series was the diving sequences which were just... bad. I dunno, it's definitely not a definitive version of the story in my eyes given the horrible diving sequences. But I did appreciate it telling more of the story that was cut from The Rescue and Thirteen Lives for the sake of time.

I don't know why they faked the story about the poor meteorology intern. That drama never happened and was a trope of young female intern was proved right and the bosses don't listen. Also they faked that the rescuers didn't know Mak was in the cave, his mom was trying to tell them. They didn't add his name to the list until they were found day 10. That never happened. The real story has enough drama, why add fictional drama?
