Hi Marion this is the first recipe I tried which I believe the salt is a bit too much. But texture wise love it. Next time will cut the salt into just one tsp.

In the video it looked like the cakes began to float on the oil once they were done. Is that a good indicator of when they are ready?

Hello Marion i did this and taste was delicious just except one small detail .Cakes were perfect in size and fluffy while deep frying but placed on cooling rack they lost shape simply shrunk but taste was really good .Recipe will stay on my list just how to prevent them to shrink or its absolutely ok? Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for recipe.

Hi Tomas, thanks for cooking my recipe and I’m thrilled you enjoyed these. So the shrinkage happens when you incorporate too much air into the mixture. The air gets hot and puffs up in the oil and then shrinks back when it cools. Different food processors might incorporate more or less air. Try taking the mix out and then knead and slap it in the bowl to get some of the air out before you coat in the breadcrumbs 😊
