Yes, it is important to advocate for yourself or have someone strong to advocate for you if you are not able to. For the doctor you are just one of his hundred's of parents but for you, it your life. It is also important to educate one's self on your illness rather than to just depending on the doctor.

@@screamdreamer Doctors cannot heal you, it takes precise diet and exercise! You need to identify all the things that caused your illness in the first place and avoid them like the plague! Then eat super foods and with proper vitamins and minerals and intermittent fasting you can heal yourself for good. You are young yet, I've been on my deathbed several times and now pushing 70!

After listening about your case I think you need to come back in the US. You’re going to have check ups and procedures multiple times. It’s not going to be a one visit deal.

I agree. I worked on the nursing staff on a hospital med-surg unit for 25 years and ascites is such a bad sign of impending death, frankly. Get to America Mr. Juell. Also , cannabis might be effective in place of or in conjunction with opiates. Tramadol is useless for what you are dealing with. The Philippines does not allow the medications you need for pain.

Juells, I presume you are referring to insurance in the Philippines. Preexisting conditions were removed in the USA via the Affordable Health Act. Of course, there is also Medicaid, which can be active within a day of applying. A friend of mine has a family, qualifies for Medicaid and has had prostate surgery and a host of other medical issues addressed. It's slow, like Canada, but available. Anyway, we wish you the best in Thailand! Take care!

It’s not only the quality of the medical profession in the Philippines is lacking but the communication if nonexistent! You MUST continuously ASK questions and do your Own research! International insurance here is expensive and phil health only pays a very small portion.ive looked into several insurance companies even in thailand but they want you to pay up front then reimburse you..I havent heard of a insurance company that does that

I'm not offering advice but please consider this. If you will be going back to the USA at some point for treatment and your plan is to fly commercial, I believe you will be required to sit upright. Yes 2 different kids son to get the acities properly treated...thailands the choice.Ace the did procedure in pants suit,no surgical gloves 2 other patients in same room 1 meter from me.all i got was brushes on my saide,size of a baseball no fluid.and a $350 bill.i could die from a staff infection and this isnt just my stoy,many like this
