Thanks for the video, Last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week and not buying any LDs and barfines. In my early 50's now and back to work in CA. Will do this again, next year.

I really do appreciate the update. I know you and I discussed a few months ago about the size of my budget. Looks like I’m still on course. Also, I went through about 60 days of no sleep and thanks to your podcast for sleep. I finally got myself back on track. Always awesome to view your videos. Thanks.

🙏wish it was so. Rent can be less if your not picky I would think ? Visa runs and ever changing laws make this difficult for many trying to live cheap long term. They obviously don't want you there for extended stays unless your very rich and they can milk you dry ! Look at Cambodia and their retirement visa over 55 for comparison ? Perhaps consider living in Siem Reap and visiting Thailand to save some money ?!? 50 cent beer there !

So if I had 150,00 baht a month for a couple weeks would be living a great lifestyle?
@GoodVibeTribeTravel9 ай бұрын
I'm not sure i understand 150,000 baht a mount is $4,300.00 a month that living like a king. $2100 for 2 weeks would be a great lifestyle if thats what you meant.

Almost $2k US. Are you single? Do you feel like you're on a budget or do you live large? With this video budget it seems like there's a lot of play $ left over with a $2k budget.

Not bad. I am not sure about your health insurance costs.you better have inpatient only and pay the dentist and small problems at a clinic. It is cheap
@GoodVibeTribeTravel9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I'm making a video soon about getting a new cap from a dentist. The cost in the U.S. is under $3000; here it's $200 to $300 US. Some people here don't have insurance and pay out of pocket for medical expenses because of the value."

$750 for rent? "Baller" status? Hardly. That offers you slightly above the most basic accommodation in any of the tourist areas of Thailand. Triple your number , for a nice place that isn't a 29 square meter closet. Same for your bar budget... triple it... unless all your doing is buying beer at 7/11. I think a baller budget in Thailand starts at $5000 US monthly but you can easily spend double that.
@GoodVibeTribeTravel9 ай бұрын
Good point! I was considering another category called "living like a king in Thailand" with your numbers and settled on baller on a budget because most people in the US are living paycheck to paycheck and of course it's all about perspective and what you're used to. For example billions of people on the planet struggling, yes, they would feel like a baller. Personally, I only spend $580 a month on rent and feel like a multi-millionaire. Here's a video I made on living in luxury for less and feeling rich: Thanks for your comment. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/maOcdWyjnrmLmck)" #Blessed #Thankful #Grateful #GoodVibes

I live in Pattaya at a beachfront high end luxury condominium with ocean front views and only $500 US a month and too feel like baller and blessed. Of course you can spend unlimited amounts of money here but as far as most people? I think his figures are pretty much in line with the average person and certainly a much higher standard of living than in North America dollar for dollar. I know someone who spent $1000/day here. He is now rehab!
@rdefacendis9 ай бұрын
@@brucelum Check out Copacabana Condo, Jomtien beachfront 75 square meters... 60,000 Baht a month... I have some expat friends who spend north of 100,000 baht on accommodation alone. I drink only Vodka not beer.. Costs me 200-250 baht per shot... so if I am out drinking .. that is 1000 baht a night... admittedly I don't do that every night ( I wish to avoid rehab). But there are plenty of guys who manage to have 3 or 4 drinks, 5 or 6 times a week... that works out to about 20,000 Baht a month.. Baller food means you're eating western at least half the time... that is 400 Baht a meal.. (not going to high end roof top bars to eat) Do that 3-4 times a week then add street food... you are well north of 10,000 baht a month on food.... so we are sitting at 90,000 baht just counting three categories.. now add "entertainment", utilities, internet, visa advisor, medical insurance, taxis... and some travel.? Visit the islands or head up to Chiang Mai for an occasional long weekend? Budget a flight home every once in a while? 200,000 Baht a month... easy... and I still have to pay attention to the budget... I am not a baller by a long shot. To each their own! Cheers!

@rdefacendis8 ай бұрын
@@vancouverlife1040 Not toxic at all...being realistic... Too many people are duped into coming to Thailand thinking they can "live large" on 1000 USD a month. You can't. Everyone should do their homework and assess what kind of lifestyle they want.
