Thailand Visa exemption
On 19 August the CCSA has made official announced to get extra 15 days for free visa or exemption scheme for traveller to come to Thailand under Visa Exemption Scheme
The Thai Government willing to boost up the economy to bring more tourist to Thailand after opening the country. The number of traveller are not much as the Government expected
This 15 days free visa scheme could be a tool for Thaialnd to gear up and bring more tourist back same as before

As soon as I learned that I could get 45 days instead of 30 days after October 1, I booked a ticket for October 4. It makes a big difference, especially if I can renew it for another 45 days. I hope! Thanks for all your info.

Do yourselves a favour and buy the tourist TR visa (60+30 ext) from embassy if you are wanting to stay longer than the 45 days. The extension queue is already very long according to this video and you would use up a large part of the day waiting to be processed. I went through the other Immigration office nearby that does the TR visa categories a couple of weeks ago and was about 4th in the queue. Many people will probably be taking this 45+30 option adding to the waiting time.

Only problem is that they are requiring a RETURN TRIP BOOKED in order to BE ELIGIBLE for the VISA EXEMPTION PROGRAM. I have a ONE WAY TICKET to Bangkok with plans to FLY TO JAPAN after I backpack through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, etc etc. What happens to the people who plan on arriving with a one way ticket?

Hi i contact thai embassy in my country, they said its not official therefore they cant help me with info. Do i understand it right they will give us 30 days and then we can exstend with 15 days. Is it possible to extend on any immigration office, example khon khaen... Do you know if we have to aply online after 1 October i mean the voa, its very bad that the embassy cant help with this, maybe more safe to apply for 60 days, i will stay in Thailand 40-43 days, also i hear something about 15 days on arrival and that airplane ticket must have exit after 15 days which means 14 days because the day you enter Thailand is the first day.if so how can we then stay longer. A follow up question...what if a US passport holder stays 45+30=75 days but wants to continue to stay in the country? Does he need to leave the country first? If he go to a neighbor country such as Laos or Malaysia, can he re-enter Thailand for another 45+30 days staying? If so, can he do so for unlimited times during a calendar year? Thanks!

Hello. I am traveling in Nov 2022 and will be staying until Jan 2022 (88 day) I had two questions: Do I still need to apply for STV Visa? If so for the STV Visa (90 day Visa) I still have the option of Documents and payment in regard to accommodation (after 14 days in ASQ). What do you advise for me to upload as it looks like it is mandatory to upload some type of proof. I plan on staying with my grandma as she owns a condo in Thailand when I arrive. The other question is for the Accommodation - Evidence of long-stay accommodation. What can I upload for this portion as I will be staying with my grandma. Do you advise her to write a note and take a picture of her accommodating me to stay at her place as well as a document of proof she owns the property? Thank you so much again!

For 88 days apply for a tourist visa 60 days if you can (depends on your passport country) and then extend in Thailand with 30 extra days.

Visa on arrival will be 30 days instead of 15 days. Visa on arrival is only for a few countries. Visa exemption will be 45 days instead of 45 days. Most people mistake visa exemption for visa areival. But the 2 are completely different.
