I've been doing it online for 5 years. It takes me around 6 minutes in total. To go to immigration would be 3 hours including the travel and 1 hour waiting in the queue at a minimum.

Governments don't do anything good except for taking people's money. This is because not the best people enter the government as a career. I just turn the trip to my local IO into a small motorcycle ride and lunch with a friend. Also, you need to re-register your address promptly after you move or reenter the country.

Yeah I reported my 90 days online but within the 7 day before the due date. It was rejected of course so I was instructed to go to my nearest immigration office and report. Being in Bangkok this meant the Immigration Division 1 Office at Laksi along with 100s of other foreigners also reporting. After a 3-4 hour wait I got it done as opposed to 3-4 minutes it would take online. I'll never make that mistake again! Another way to avoid the 90 day reporting altogether is leave to country, say to Lao or Cambodia, just before the 90 day deadline and re-enter to start the clock ticking again. This assumes of course that you have the appropriate Thai visa.

They are ruining marriages now with all the nonsense. Making life more difficult and uncertain. So many extra costs, bureaucracy and required trips out of the country takes a lot of money and time away from the marriage. The only problem some married folks and retirees have in Thailand, is this. I see and hear about it from them a lot. The government should make it easier for retirees and especially married folks. ALL of their income is spent in Thailand. Strange they make it more difficult instead.

You have to fill out all fields on the left side of the online form, not only the ones with the red star. If you leave the "visa valid until" field empty (which doesn't exist in the paper form) you will be rejected.

Maybe. Just fill out the TM30 form . You'll need it if you plan on doing an extension of Stay later.

What have you done wrong? Having an agent is costly, but useful. No problem as such. The agent does it for the clients. But it's true, the Thai Immigration is making things hard, as they introduce money making visas and also prompting overstayers and delinquents, both Farangs and locals.

I always go in person now to save me being pissed off, late afternoon is a good time to go, can get done in 5 mins which is a personal best for me. And that car park is a disgrace, more craters than the moon.

90 day reporting online cannot be done before 15 days, takes 5 minutes. No need to put it in your passport.

Did my online Sunday, took 2 minutes, and got the approval Monday 7am. If you have not got a registered TM30 done with immigration the 90 day online TM47 is not going to work.

I've never had an online 90 day reporting problem. Be sure to use Chrome browser and enter ALL the requested information in the required format. Also, you cannot report online the first time after entering the country. Thereafter is OK until you leave the country again.

Your online TM47 submission was rejected because you don't have a TM30 on file. The TM30 is an address registration for foreigners filed by your landlord for the duration of your stay. This is distinct from the TM47 that is submitted by you every 90 days. Certain immigration functions like the online TM47 submission are now requiring TM30 synchronization to encourage compliance. Fortunately for you your local immigration office is not requiring a TM30 for online processing of the TM47. (There are rumors Chonburi will not process a TM47 in person if you don't have a paper TM30 receipt in your passport. )There is a strong chance that when you go to extend your visa that they will deny you because you do not have a TM30. Speak to your landord and have them file a TM30 or you will likely have a future headache.

I set the email confirmation of approval that I receive , as a reminder , in my calendar to then submit it 13/14 days before due date. Has worked online at last, get approval the next day .. thankfully for the last 4 times 😅

We've had more online TM47 rejected than approved. Here in Bangkok reporting in person at Division 1 is a whole day wasted.

Been doing it online for years, no problems until April this year, it hasn`t worked since. They told me an update to the system showed that I wasn`t in country and if I leave and come back it may reset and be ok.

Been doing online 90 day reporting for 2 years now and they always send out a notification email before it's due. This month they didn't. I knew I had to do it in October but I forgot about it until I was 4 days past due, I submitted it online and it was rejected. Doing it online you have to submit it before (up to 15 days before) the due date or it will be rejected. In person, you can do it 15 days before OR 7 days after the due date. From now on I'll mark it on a calender or send myself a notification email that I keep in my inbox as their email may not be reliable. Also, if you do it before the due date they count 90 days from the day it is processed. I had not been updating the form for my passport as I don't have a printer handy, which they kindly informed me to do as well.

Sooo, from other YT channels I see that it is sooo easy to use a respectful agent who cannot only do whatever visa application but also Thai driver licence, insurance and so on, are we really just too stingy to pay 15 $ to avoid any hassle?, sounds like a bargain to me, without associated angst and headaches, or....just hop over the border for a day and reset the 60 days...never worry bout any reporting. ..or am I wrong?

Thanks, glad to see some one else explain their problems with the On-line 90 day "check up." Yeah; I did on-line twice with no problem, the "3rd time is the charm" and got rejected with no explanation just "report to immigration immediately." So I guess I may have been outside the grace period, I.E. I filled it out on a Friday, just before the date of the 90 day expiration and it wasn't processed in time. As far as address, all the info is on Wikipedia, Immigration knows the English abbreviations for the Thai categories. It gets a bit worrying for us "Farang" in rural areas where the roads are often un-named or numbered. I've subscribed because of this vid, well done. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_addressing_system
