Blair Rice I'm 24 now and I started watching it when I was 9 or 10 :)I watched the british version for the first time a few years ago! Clive is such a dick to them so I couldn't really get into it. Plus you cant really beat the chemistry they all have with drew, its so genuine! You can tell they all have a lot of love for each other and I think its one of the things that make this show so great.

It's definitely better than the current Aisha era. US WLIIA with Drew was just the perfect storm for an improv show: the cast at the peak of their career, they all knew each other for ages, it was filmed pre-PC culture or hidden agendas in mind so it can be crass but lighthearted at the same time. It was still the 90s, networks risked a little bit more on their content... The swan song for these guys was "Drew Carey's Improv-a-ganza", they are all sharp af in their improv, even Drew. Heather is great, Jonathan is great with the rest of the cast, also.

The English version does more film dub which is hilarious and also had tony slattery and Steve frost who were funny. They also had a hilarious game where they sat in a car with different frozen expressions on their faces; they looked like cartoon characters

@R O Completely agree. I'm English but much prefer the Drew era compared to the UK version and the newer ones with Aisha. Drew was the best host, and got involved to just the right amount. Clive was quick witted but felt a little too sneery and detached, and Aisha gets involved too much and is just too loud and not good enough at improv. And you're right about the agendas cropping up too much in the more recent years - especially Aisha and Wayne. Up until then it was one of the few comedy shows that focused on light hearted comedy for comedy sake and mostly avoided political / agenda driven humour. Most of the cast still unselfishly adhere to that, but Aisha, Wayne, Gary, etc, can't resist dragging things back to their own agenda driven humour.
