Bridget sits down with Drea de Matteo, star of The Sopranos, to discuss her personal and political evolution, their mutual gratitude for being part of Gen X, how Drea never intended to become a political activist, how COVID and the lockdowns influenced her thinking and led her to start questioning her preconceptions about the Left and the Right, why it took her until the very last moment to come out in support for Trump, and why she did it even while recognizing that it could damage her ability to work in Hollywood again. They cover Drea’s decision to join OnlyFans to save her house, how her daughter’s political journey influenced her own, what Gen Z has been through and the lasting effect the pandemic had on them, the state of the entertainment industry and why art is dead if everyone is too afraid to take risks, addiction, self-discovery, and her commitment to maintaining authenticity despite industry pressures. Check out Drea’s new streetwear line, ULTRAFREE - bit.ly/WIW-Ult...

Walk-Ins Welcome with Bridget Phetasy - Podcast
Bridget Phetasy admires grit and authenticity. On Walk-Ins Welcome, she talks about the beautiful failures and frightening successes of her own life and the lives of her guests. She doesn’t conduct interviews-she has conversations. Conversations with real people about the real struggle and will remind you that we can laugh in pain and cry in joy but there’s no greater mistake than hiding from it all. By embracing it all, and celebrating it with the stories she’ll bring listeners, she believes that our lowest moments can be the building blocks for our eventual fulfillment.

Love Drea and Bridget together here! Total common sense and honesty. We need more of this! As a fellow Gen X liberal who loves RFK Jr... it's hopeful to see people asking questions and wanting to have open conversations about these complex topics. Live and let live.

I can relate. I live in Utah and we had very mild winters during Covid, so I was out desert-hiking all the time. I refused to be a shut-in, that's how you kill people. If they want to arrest me, they can come out and find me out in 20,000 square miles of desert. In Nevada, when I checked into hotels, they actually asked people what their business was there. I lied and told them that I was a truck driver. I'm glad they never asked me for my CDL, because I don't have one. It really pissed me off that when Covid hit, all the national parks closed and all the state parks closed their campgrounds. That's the safest activity there is.

Yep, they wanted us isolated and inside. They wanted us depressed and unhealthy. I was unhealthy when covid started, but I looked at the numbers and realized that the people that were dying were fat, had high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. So I started eating right and exercising. I lost 60lb and so when I got covid ( I have asthma) it still hit my lungs hard, but I survived. I had a good doctor that prescribed hydrocortisone, oxygen and hydroxychoroquine.

I still adore my mom, who is a radical leftie with full blown TDS, so let's not fall for the narrative that everyone is becoming extremist and hateful of "the other side". We are not sheep. Most of us at least.

Adoring someone and giving them full control over your life is two very different things.

I feel like if you and Drea got to know each other off camera a little bit... Right around the hour mark is where you guys relaxed into it better, you can tell Drea's defensive front melted and she recognized Bridget the person, past Bridget a Podcaster~ this was great, and I'm excited for the next one :) and for the Tshirt collab 🥰

Thank you Walk Ins! This kind of thing is really helpful in getting better while my whole old friend circle is so crazy I can't even stand looking at all their paranoid Facebook posts. Woke Oregon, I'm another who voted Obama, then Hilary and that felt dirty, then didn't vote, then Trump 24. My life has been wrecked by the left and that's not hyperbolic.

I don't know any women like you two. Are there any left in woke Oregon? I've been single for over 20 years because of the ill fit of the echo chamber on my true energy. Beta cuck dies in the rising of my renewed devotion to Thelema. Horus eats woke for breakfast.

Umm, get used to it. Remember New Normal? This is it. Boohoo, we need to talk about it more if it annoys you so much. How many people were locked down? That's how many times we can talk about it.
