On a moral level, I would not want to bring a son or daughter into this world so they can experience pain, depression, greed, sadness, and many other negative aspects of the human race and world. I also can't guarantee my child a loving wife who will dedicate her life to family. I also don't want to live paycheck to paycheck supporting a child and consequently work 10x harder in my life. I believe and know I am showing my unborn child the most respect and love by sparing them this life and all the negative aspects associated with it. Kids are for the rich. To pass on the rich and successful genes. You are not rich but debt-free. It's a difference. Rich is who is debt-free but also has a bunch of ppl working for him. The work would be a better place if the poor didn't reproduce. But this goes against the laws of nature where the poorer and weak an living being is, the more descendants it has, as a future investment. In poor societies there is a huge stigma not to care for your elders. In America it was also until the modern age when ppl became selfish. So it's better for them to not have kids. What's missing, yet, it's for them a system like in Japan where they have a true evolved society where very old people are cared for by a network of paid or voluntaries. I don't see this happening in the West. In my country in Eastern Europe we are going on the same path as you but we still care for each other. An old guy I knew died being still cared for by a younger (70 yrs) neighbor. Living truly alone is no fun.

It's cruel in its irresponsibility to bring an innocent life into this world if you live in this world today. Not to say at any given time things were stellar for everyone. The way culture, society, the world is going is it anything but selfless to not force someone into this right now? And for who? It's not just "bringing life into the world," we're also bringing death to life. At some point that ball of life is going to end. And it could be horrible. Could be early. And consider that there could be some really fucked up moments in that person's life, could be their entire life leading up to a horrible end. As much as people think about the joys they'll have they never consider the sorrows. And that's not to be a fucking downer, but it's because of sorrow we know what joy is, it's a coin toss. As great as something can be, it could just as easily be terrible. If having kids brings people a full life then why is it such a stigma to talk about it fully? The real kicker is that no one grasps the magnitude of the concerns we have. If these people really thought reproducing was such an important thing, they'd ponder for a moment what could be on the minds of so many people that they fight their "biology." We don't pull these things out of our ass, we give a shit about what's going on around us at every level. "If you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud." What kills me is how people act as if there's no mud, like it's not a thing. Say that you want the joys or that it'll bring joy. It is the same saying it'll also come with sorrow or bring sorrow. We're not embracing sorrow to spite joy.

I don’t want kids because after seeing how hard I had to work and sacrifice my teens and twenties to get myself out of the poverty I was born into, I think i would’ve rather never lived at all. I worked in a hotel after a 10 hour shift at my main job. I served sports teams of other teens/students that would come from other countries to compete. I didn’t even know that was a thing people my age did. I’d eat the leftovers and that was my main meal of the day. At 11pm after working for 14.5-16 hours of work. The fact that i was working so much wasn’t the sad part. The sad thing was being exposed to how different their life experience was to mine just because we were born to different parents. It all was worth it but I would’ve preferred if my parents never had any kids at all if that was an option.

I didn't even get to have much of a childhood and I had to be the responsible one and I never got have a typical childhood. I wasn't well off growing up because both of my parents were living paycheck to paycheck. I was bullied alot as a child and I had no friends and I was a social outcast. My high school years were the worst and I didn't even go to prom at all. My parents were very toxic to me and my youngest siblings get to have the life that I wanted. They would always get away with things for which I would get punished for. You know what's like being a kid and having to look after your youngest siblings? It's hard. I was homeless in my mid 20s and I faced poverty while I was in the military and after I got out I faced poverty again. All in all because of the painful experience I went through I would not recommend having kids.

When I was child free I was often miserable. I had no money, had a hard time finding work, and didn't have any kind of support system. Often times I lacked motivation to move on due to depression. Now I have a wonderful man in my life, a decent job, a permanent roof over my head, and his two little boys from a previous marriage (she turned out to be unfaithful) who will grow up to do good in these dark times. They both show more compassion and empathy than a lot of adults I've known in my life and motivate me to do better for my mental health daily. I would have never had any of this if I'd kept hanging out with the child free crowd I was part of. They all hate me and want nothing to do with me now despite how accommodating I tried to be. It shows how much they really care about the happiness of others. You can have hobbies, earn good money, and travel with kids. It's only a matter of raising kids who behave and don't inconvenience other travelers. It's hard work, but it's rewarding if you put the time in when they're young so they can be more productive members of society when they grow up. Parents are basically full time teachers always on call. We don't crucify teachers for their work and shouldn't try to paint parents as miserable monsters either. I still have adult time and spare time for hobbies. I'm not sure why people think I wouldn't. There are such things as retired grandparents and other family who will babysit for free, or at least for pretty cheap because they enjoy time with the kids. If you don't want kids, that's great! Not everyone does and it's wrong to pressure anyone into it or make them feel less human for it. The movement as a whole needs to remember that most people aren't going to judge you for not having kids and you shouldn't judge for others for doing so.

I've noticed friends do have it tougher with kids but I respect the hard work and you can see the good parents. I understand people that both choose and don't choose. In this day and age too, it feels like a crazy time to have kids. And the disconnect between parents and kids seems more evident these days. I'm 32 and teens seem so different.

Especially this late in my life I really didn't think it was possible, nor had I wanted a baby. I'm happy though. He helps me heal from my past relationship with his father and gives me motivation to be my best self. I can't wait to show him Jurassic Park and all the movies I loved as a child for the first time! I don't have kids because of Warren Farrells book .....the myth of male power. found it more than 25yrs ago. changed my life course for the better. Very very very greatly for that book. Blew my mind when I read his insights!!!!!!Warren Farrell is an American icon,,,one of my heroes!!!!

Had those 3 Aaron following the previous generations example. Without a lick of sense making that mistake with one of these low quality shit bag women of today it definitely made life so much more difficult. Luckily I’ve salvaged as much as I could and they’re getting education in fields that have demand but damn the price I’ve paid. Fuck that shit. I wish I had the knowledge when I was in my 20’s.

I agree with not having kids, but why do conservatives try to stop abortion, and birth control?
@realazduffman4 жыл бұрын
Because abortion is a sign of a society in decline. They do not try to stop birth control, they just want women to pay for it themselves not make us pay for it.

@@realazduffman Abortion really is no big deal. The doctor who performed mine showed me . It was smaller than a ping pong ball, it had no human features. Nobody worships my abortion as a god. It was just a medical procedure I paid for myself nothing more nothing less.

People were having kids during WWII, during the Plague in Europe, through the Muslim invasions of Europe, through the Cold War with the threat of nuclear annihilation. Today's troubles are fairly innocuous compared to the circumstances many people were willing to have kids under. This should not be a reason to forgo having children. In fact, if our civilization has any hope, it's with our kids.

Those were all fueling purposes. And you’re negating the fact that women were indoctrinated to actually be feminine and have qualities that bring a high probability of the man having a family worth dying for. We have no great war, or great depression. The great war is a spiritual war. The great depression is our lives. We were raised by television to believe that we'd be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars -- but we won't.Oct 15, 1999

Lots of good points here, but nothing beats doing it all with your flesh-and-blood kids, teaching them how to be a positive force and contributors to society to help fight the madness. Yes it's hard work but it's so rewarding; hard to imagine having missed that blessing. THANK GOD for my kids, all conservative, healthy, high IQ, with their spouses, and now grandkids! God is great!
