Hey Justin, Canada here. Our mechanics have to work in the dog days of summer too. But then they get the bonus of wrenching outside in near-freezing temps frantically winterizing the last boats before their engine blocks freeze. Thanks for the consideration but stay South! Congrats on the sponsorship, can't get shipping here but I smashed that link anyway. Happy Memorial Day!

Fine. I will stay south 😋. Thanks for the support. I do appreciate it. 😊

Justin enjoy the long weekend with your family bud.Canada isn’t an option man😂Run up to the mountains of NC over the summer-that’ll give you a little break from the heat.We used to do that when I lived down there. It was a nice change of scenery as well.

Justin, up here in Ohio, our Marinemax sales has now moved in with the Skipper Buds boat dealership which has locations in Wisc, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. So instead of just offering boats Marine Max sells, they offer other lines of boats that Skipper Buds sell. The service for Marine Max moved into the facility that was the Marinemax sales and service. building. An odd business model to me. Do you see Marinemax doing that down in Fl? Thanks, Bruce

Marine Max has two locations near me and they haven't merged with anyone but they did have some layoffs. Who knows when it comes to corporate decisions. 😆

If I wanted a start in this field better to try to get experience first or see if there’s some schooling?
@JustinLeeMarine2 ай бұрын
It just depends on where you live. Some areas like where I am located have schools for Marine mechanics. If you don't have anything close then go to a dealership. They almost always offer training. Either way is a good start really. Good question and thanks.

Hey I’m been looking for a career change and I’m thinking marine technician however, I’m looking for guidance what would be my first step ? And and what qualifications what I need in order to work let’s say at a shop like the one you work at
@JustinLeeMarineАй бұрын
Find a dealer that will train you. That is usually your best bet unless you are really close to a marine mechanics program/school.
