I don't know.....I believe Fig actually liked you. Not as much as the tubes, but it goes like that with some animals. She might be slightly less stressed after acclimating to a loving home and coming to see you, her savior, again.

She's got the largest vocabulary I've ever heard from a cat! And she's a real drama queen with those violent flops - you can just picture her as an aging diva collapsing onto a fainting couch... Have a feeling she might mellow on acquaintance but who knows, it's not our hands in the biting line! Hope she's more comfortable now, anyway. Good job!

@@Lyran7 Most of cats and dogs ageing is in the first few years then it tapers far below how much people age per decade. Kind of like genetically turning 20 after a year and a half and 40 at 3 years, then the next 15 or so years turning from 40 to 80. I've one dog whos so old (the vet guessed he was 15, 4 years ago) he has hardly any teeth left, is half blind and still hops around with excitement like a 5-year-old. Apparently, its obesity that ages pets the most.

I also adopted an older cat that was declawed and expressed any kind of displeasure with biting. It took a while to get her properly groomed, but she was much more comfortable afterwards.

@@professorbutters Agree. Declawing is TERRIBLE practice, and should never be done, except for serious medical reasons (and even then you should remove only the necessary claw/s). Yeah, cats scratch things, that´s how they mark their territory and keep their daggers sharp, but that´s why scratching posts were invented.

My kitty lived to be 21 years old, but she was red tagged at the groomers and stayed pissed off for days, so I decided to bathe her when she was 2 years old. She was fine with me, just hated the groomers. Plus, she WAS spoiled and a mama's girl.😂😂😂❤❤❤

She's much better than my cat! Mine can't even be removed from her carrier most of the time because she gets so aggressive. I took her to the vet yesterday for an emergency and the vet had to send us somewhere else where they had more protective equipment. Please wish my combative 17-year-old good luck! She's pretty sick.

I have a 24 year old cat and 2 years ago she was matted on her rear end and legs. She is an outside cat her choice. It took me a week of brushing and cutting hair to clear it up. She fought me the whole time. But when she realized how much better it was I got a lot of head bumps. It was well worth it. She is not a long haired one .

@@CatherineHurley-wk8ef I had a cat with type 1 diabetes and had to give her insulin every 12 hours. Sticking a needle in her scruff hurt her every time (I felt awful doing it) but she did seem to realise she felt better and stopped resisting and being difficult. I just wonder about their capacity to understand the cause and effect of someone doing something unpleasant that makes them feel way better (I didn't see it this time, but often matted animals get a nice scritch in the newly clear area because she understands it is itchy and they will feel much better).
