Interesting detail: when Luz "Dies" and you see king properly get mad, he runs in and projects a magic bubble similar to the one Titan Luz uses later. If you look close, though, King's bubble shield uses his unique glyph set, instead of his father's set visible on Luz's bubble.

Yep, one of those was presumably an ice glyph And another sad thing is that King usually roars like a "wam!" like the other titans, as Bill described in "O Titan, Where Art Thou", and the final battle shows that he still uses that voice, but when he thought Luz was dead, King made an *actual roar*

What is really bittersweet for me is that Luz and I were the same age when the show started and the time jump would be present time. So me and luz are going to college at the same time. This show made me feel proud to be bi and realize that my adhd is not a hinderence its a tool. I *am* that old, and I'm so happy to see this representation. It wasn't called ADHD until I was almost a teenager, and it was still overwhelmingly diagnosed in boys, ignored in girls. I didn't know until I was in my 30s, and there's so much more I learned in the following years, things that were never mentioned. It's a little easier for you than it was for me - still challenging, I know - since you know what's going on much earlier than I did. I'm glad you got to grow up in a time where people know more.

The entire Luz's "death" scene had me in tears. Especially when the Collector finally realized what death really means to mortals, and that he couldn't fix her when she "broke". You know the part where he asks "What is this stuff? Why won't it stop?" The first time seeing this, I thought he was talking about Belos' corruption blight, but I now I feel more like he was talking about his tears, as it's the first time he ever felt grief. Another example of the incredible writing on this show.

I love the fact that the Titan did give their powers to Luz, but not because she was chosen, but because she had earned it. She not only took care of King, but she also made the active effort to study, to listen to the Isles and its residents, to learn and grow. In the end, Luz ended up choosing herself, not when she accepts the powers, but through the whole show. Every little thing she does is a small step toward believing in herself and choosing herself.

@@whimsickels That’s a fair point. But also, while they may not have had a direct bond with Flapjack, they had all built a solid bond with Hunter, and Flapjack gave his life to save Hunter’s. If it hadn’t been for Flapjack, they all would have lost a dear friend. So I saw it more as getting the tattoos out of gratitude and to pay respects to Flapjack saving Hunter even at the cost of his own life. Just my take on it.

I just realized that the light glyph was send by King's Dad because it was in a reflective surface, just like when Luz was talking to her mom by the reflection on the phone. Little things I noticed that I loved: - King's Dad dressing a lot like how his voice-actor would dress. Arin Hanson, professional gamer, voice-actor, animator, Florida Man, and comfy-dresser. - Dana's witch-sona in the end-credit sequence. The red-head witch entering Hexside with the owl pin on her hat - Vee and Masha (I can't tell if that's Luz or Masha; Luz doesn't seem like a baseball kid or jock, or never really expressed interest in a sport, so I'm guessing Masha, it could be nobody specific) baseball photo. - Stringbean's corner. - Pumpkin Stringbean - The notes on Lilith's blueprints for the library. Especially the part about bragging to Flora. - The Potions Coven head still missing part of their hat after Darius sliced it off in King's Tide - The gang all have matching tattoos of Flapjack. - Hunter's new palisman being named Waffles (Dana revealed it in a tweet) - The Basilisks chilling outside Headmaster Eda's office. - The view of the world from so high up. All the new continents and titan remains - The sky returning to the color it was before Belos' reign. - Luz becoming edgy once and keeping with it years later. - The implications that the Owl Beast is a titan. - Amity's hair clip in the end being part of her Grom Crown. - Hunter's Grom suit having flowers on it. He probably made it to impress Willow. - Kikimora being put to hard labor. I wish Odalia was too. - Odalia just pouting in the corner, nobody wanted anything to do with her. - In hindsight, King's Dad showed Luz the light glyph to save King, to save his son.

Probably my favorite part of this show is the flipping of the Chosen One Trope. Luz isn't the Chosen One because of some shitty prophecy or Greater Cause. She's chosen because she's a good and kind person and people choose to be friend/family. I really hope we get some comics or something. ​@MayvaAva I think there's still a chance. Trends are cyclical, and this one might be ending but that doesn't mean it won't come back. The reasons these shows got made is because a lot of creators were given the opportunity to make the shows they wanted as kids. The kids that influence are going to go on to become creators of their own. There'll be stepbacks and abrupt halts, but it shouldn't ever really end entirely. I can guarantee that there's somebody at Disney looking at all the numbers around the show and they are scratching their heads. It feels like they genuinely convinced themselves that this was not a popular show, and are now just confused.

But it wasn't like some perfect "And then all the people Belos killed or petrified spontaneously came back to life and they all had a big dance party finale and the Collector fixed all the damage on the isles with a snap and there was never any more issues ever, major or otherwise" ending

As the legend Dr. Seuss said: "Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened." I think I can say from all the fandom that we are all so grateful and thankful for this show that pushed the boundaries of what could be shown on Disney. This show has changed so many peoples lives for the better, and we all feel so angry for some of the higher ups at Disney for cutting it short. However, despite the cancellation, we will never forget these characters and world. All of us will always be weirdos who always stick together.

I appreciate an irredeemable villain in Belos. So many villains these days get forgiven it was nice to see someone so evil the only solution was death. And to parallel that with The Collector learning their values and becoming a friend was nice.

Its a nice example of "this is a redeemable person" and "this person cannot be saved" Even the collector knew his limits. Knew what could be wrong or right given the chance. And this shows that yeah some people can change. And if its possible, let it. But some people are belos. Who never stop or think about anything. Only lying, manipulating and never seeing any of the wrong in their ways.

Small details made the finale for me, especially in the end sequence. Everyone running Eda's school had an emblem of King's head on their clothes. The core team all have matching Flapjack tattoos. Lots of background details informing us of the last 3 years. The best was seeing swapped jewelry, Eda and Raine had each other's earrings, Luz had Amity's necklace. If Dana lifted that from She-Ra (seems obvious) there's some strong implications there.

Luz fights with all the skills she learned from her friends. Eda showing her how to make a spell circle. Wehing like King. Teleporting via orb like Hunter. Riding her staff like Gus. Using her power to protect Eda and King like Willow and then at the very last before charging Belos, clears the path using Amity's style with her palisman.

I think that the way the titan appeared at first was meant to be a "This is the form I'm taking to make you more comfortable" sort of deal, and the giant skeletal figure he turned into right at the end was more like his true form. Also, loved that he was voiced by Arin Hanson, didn't expect Egoraptor to get such a role but he did an amazing job, almost didn't recognize him at first.

I wanted to go straight to Twitter and say the Hooty Hole Theory was confirmed in everything but the portal but I was worried I was misremembering your video or something lol. Hooty growing out of the Titans eye- I got the sense that the Titan was vast majority of the time watching the Owl House through Hootys eyes, not just letting him see King, but letting him get to know Luz and decide she would be trustworthy with Titan Magic. I felt like that was supported by all the scenes the Titan showed Luz he’d been watching,because just none of them showed Hooty- because Hooty was his little eyehole in the door to look through. Like they didn’t get to go into how important Hooty specifically was but I really felt like that was a time thing, Hooty was their connection to the Titan all the time. Maybe the Collector made the portal but Hootys involvement saved everyone

Honestly I think the reason Belos' defeat is so satisfying is because he's always thought of witches as pathetic and beneath him, and now he's the pathetic one getting crushed like a weak little bug by the witches he tried to destroy. And I love how Luz just stands back and lets the boiling rain melt him away being like, "you're not even worth it."

This is the best ending for the show I could have asked for with the showing being cut short. It was so unique and honestly one of the best animated shows ever, especially for Disney. I'm really really hoping for a spin-off or even a sequel in the future. HOOTY HOLE THEORY REAL. this episode was such a satisfying finale in so many ways and did so much well. i was just a little sad to think about all the extra things we could've gotten if we only had more time. we can only hope we get more owl house content in some form. two of my personal hangups are that we barely got v screentime and that we never really got to delve into hunter's trauma and see him work through that. i'll just have to assume that offscreen he's seeing a therapist lol. we also didn't get much of him being a part of the noceda family in the finale so i also am just going to assume he bounces around his adoptive parents/families (darius, the clawthornes, and camila) + the fact that they made the final 3 episodes spell out thanks for watching makes me want to scream and sob. so much love went into this show. im really going to miss it. there's something about. when people get to make their passion project and share that with the world and they're just so thankful to have gotten the chance and for the support they've received even if they get screwed over. it's very heartwarming to see and makes me really emotional. also can we all just applaud the crew for not going "friendship and forgiveness is always the answer, even for people who are the scum of the earth" they said F THAT stomp this man's corpse. love everything said about/the actions taken towards belos this episode. he really is one of the best villains i've seen in a long time, not even just in cartoons.

also after having the whole day to process. im pretty disappointed hunter wasn't able to get in on the belos stomping. if anyone deserved to be there it was him. but i understand why they weren't able to do it like that, and time restraints etc etc. i can headcanon that luz and eda saved a scrap of belos to bring back so hunter could stomp on it lol + something i connected on my first watch that idk if other people mentioned but luz's titan form feels a little bit like a nod to the bodyswap episode in s1 in which king was in luz's body so she had his eyes and fang.

I immediately thought about you when I first saw the Titan, because of the lil Hooty living in his right eye socket (and it's the eye glowing back in the Demon Realm when it was starting to get possessed). What hit me was that after Belos-infected Raine mentioned how powerful Raine really is, we see Amity-puppet moving her fingers. Also a powerful witch herself, heck yeah. The Collector got dealt a shit hand. His siblings, the Archivists, tricked him to spend time with the Titans to get him out of their hair, but when they find out the Titans can no-sell their powers, they took them away, forcing Papa Titan to seal the Collector away to protect his child. At least Papa Titan admitted his short-sightedness to Luz, but to his credit, he thought the Collector was going to do something because of his connection to the Archivists. Baby Collector had to wait eons for Luz, King and Eda to show him the right way.

I don't think I could put into words what this series means to me. I had always heard the show was good, but for some reason I just didn't get around to watching it. I just didn't really watch any shows when it was initially getting hype, I really only cared about youtube. But one day when I was bored, I decided to scroll through Disney+ to go on a nostalgia trip, and saw the Owl House. I decided to give it a chance, even though I kinda already knew a couple of the major plot points from cultural osmosis. I knew Luz and Amity got together, and I knew that Belos was Human. But when I gave it a chance, it started out slow, but I kept at it. I watched about an episode a night right before I went to sleep. But by Agony of a Witch, I was in love. I binged the rest of the series in the next two days, and finally caught up to the show. I needed more. I binged the reactions of 5 different youtubers, beginning to end. I watched theories and video essays and joined the subreddit, all to discuss this wonderful show. And then I decided to start watching it with my mother. Now, despite living in the same house, I rarely do anything with my mother. I love her and she loves me, but we just don't really share interests. Plus neither of us are really very social people. But then I decided to ask if she wanted to watch this good show called The Owl House. She was surprised, since she knows I'm usually not the type of person to offer to do... really anything. But she agreed, and so we sat down and started watching. I already knew everything that happened, seen the show about 6 times, theorized in and out, but it was still great. And yesterday when the Finale came out, we sat together and watched it together. The first episode neither of us had seen. When it was done we just sorta sat there. And then we both started tearing up. And we just sat there and hugged eachother for who knows how long. Just silently tearing up into eachothers shoulders. I don't think I'll ever forget that moment. And I can't thank Dana and the phenomenal crew for that enough. For bringing us this phenomenal show that has brought so many people together, and made me feel levels of emotion I haven't felt in years. This show has firmly cemented itsself as my favorite show, and I sincerely doubt anything will top it anytime soon. Its bittersweet, that this show is ending. It feels like such a big part of my life, despite how shortly its been in it. But one thing is for sure. This show has made my life that much brighter.

There was so much in that epilogue I had to watch it a few times to feel like i got everything. They really did so much with the time they were given in this last season. SO I think Hooty is simply a superpowered demonic worm that is infesting the titan. When we see King's Dad, they're obviously not giant & dead looking, they're in like a spirt-esk form? & Hooty popping out of his eye is representing the little worm demon infesting his body irl. Okay but I love how instead of going the usual vague ending route with a bland quick shot of the protagonist grown up in a generic universal future scene like getting into a car and driving away or it ending at the packed boxes toh said screw it and showed what became of evry single character! Just enough to give us a general idea of what they've been up to and are doing now to feel refreshing but not overwhelming. (This is what I wanted from the Eva rebuilds!) I also like that they kept both worlds connected instead of seperating all the characters we watched form bonds over years. They always do it and it always feels just as crushing. Amphibia gets a pass because the whole Pointe of the show was that all things come to an end and sometimes you need to let go. What I'm trying to say is that toh's story feels over but the story of the characters doesn't you know? It feels like our shared adventure has come to a close but they're all okay and continuing their lives together even if away from us. It's comforting. Never before have I seen an ending this satisfying.

I'm not sure Luz *did* find the light glyph by herself. Papa Titan (as the credits called them) was always watching. Maybe her phone stopped on that *exact* frame for a reason? I mean… King was in a lot of danger and Luz was doing everything she could to protect him.

As someone who basically grew up with KZbin ( '98 baby! ) hearing Arin Hanson as Papa Titan made me cry that much harder due to growing up with the Game Grumps being a constant in my life sorta like a surrogate parent. That with a mix of thinking about him dying (Arin not the titan) just made me a sobbing mess. But yeah, amazing episode. I love the time skip designs of the characters along with Titan Luz, ponytail Amity made me especially happy. P.S. No Arin Hanson hasn't died, it was simply the thought of him dying that made me cry.

I love what they did with the Titan and the glyphs, referring to it as a language that she learned to speak with. Luz came the Isles looking for someone to understand her and reached for some love, and the Titan let her see the glyphs, and I see that as the Titan reaching back. King’s magic has his own language, and he is reaching back out to Luz as well. Luz found love and growth on the boiling isles, the isle is the Titan and I think he was aware of her from when she first got there.
