Thanks for another great vid. Hey Lynn, I hope you have the same belt "accessory" as Mike does. If you are hiking alone I suggest some protection. I know Piper is a good dog but there are some shady characters "wandering" our shores. Stay safe. Have a Merry Christmas. Slainte! And BTW, I cant believe Mike does not own a jumper box. HMMMMM

I have the same pot holder you have under the pie. A camping neighbor at my seasonal site made me one years ago, telling me not to tell anyone he made it. Fun/scary story with them. I am seasonal at Camp Toodik on the Lake Fork feed into the Mohican. River was way up and we decided to go for it from their livery off Rt. 3. I had my Kayak, they had my canoe and their kids were on a tube. They came sideways against a tree and rolled totally under it. Surprised they bobbed upside down on the other side. I had to pull both from them from the river, he climbed up on a brush pile. The next weekend... he was covered head to toe in poison ivy. He never got on the river again. Not much later someone died right about where they flipped. We were all lucky!
@WanderingWagners13 күн бұрын
I used to make those pot holders as kids. We had the weave kits and made a ton of them haha they work great too! Scary story!😳

Hey, water pump i always carry spares they don't last. What you can do for your refrigerator some of the RVs are doing now is they buy the better residential I just find one that would fit in that area you have available but a name brand one not an Amazon special as for CO2 detectors they don't last long I always put two different brands of CO2 detectors and smoke detectors in my unit that way I know one of them might work LOL

It didn’t look like you cook your pie crust some, before adding the filling. My mom makes the Libby Pumpkin Pie recipe on the can but makes her own pie crust. She bakes her pie crust for about 15 to 20 min, before adding the filling so it isn’t soft on the bottom and undercooked. Do you have that problem? What’s your secret? She also brushes lard on the outside crust to keep it from burning.
@WanderingWagners3 күн бұрын
I don't precook my crust for pumpkin pies because it cooks for an hour in the oven with the filling so no need to precook it. It's not flimsy, nor burnt. I would think brushing the crust with anything would make it burn/harden faster, like an egg wash on baked goods to create a hard outer crust/shell. Certain pies do require pre cooking the crust, like lemon meringue obviously and sometimes I'll precook a pecan pie crust but only for 15 minutes or so. You can pick up the piece of pumpkin pie and eat it right out of the tin and it's perfectly cooked without pre cooking the crust👍🏻

I’m surprised you do not have a on board battery charger for your camper. Since you do camp in winter cold weather it can be handy. While using your block heater is helpful in the cold. A weak battery may not start a warm block or a cold block. At least fully charged batteries will give you a much better chance to start the a cold/warm motor.
@WanderingWagners12 күн бұрын
we do have battery charger and backup battery starters
@MarknTerry12 күн бұрын
@@WanderingWagners well, if you chose not to use it over a block heater to have fully charged batteries as a best practice for cold weather starts, okay then.

Dawg! My ICECO is antique compared to that one!! I have to get on the floor to change my controls. Maybe it's time for an upgrade. Not a fan of residential size in RVs. Soooo many have had problems. And some have to take the slide out to get it switched.
@WanderingWagners13 күн бұрын
Our fridge is 12v, not residential but we wish we had a residential instead because this ones been nothing but problems after the warranty was up haha The iceco was a lifesaver for half our food this trip! It's been great
@mrmichaeltscott13 күн бұрын
@WanderingWagners Yes I heard domestic 12.v. I was referring to the size. I think I'd rather have 4 ICECOs in drawers. They go fridge or freezer and are solid. Residential units aren't what they used to be either. Flammable refridgant no one even services them. They just swap them out.
