I was just reminded of how much I adore your intro. The 8 second progression from good Andy hugging Rex to Sane Andy absolutely FAILING to prevent the triumphant Evil Andy from breaking free and chugging as much alcohol as he can before Good Andy spits it out and reaches for a juice box, lol. Each character is so distinct in their expressions and physicality, without ever being annoyingly over the top...and the cherry on top is the nursery rhyme music suddenly being blasted away by metal. You are so fucking talented! Also, looks like I might need to watch Thansgiving, seeing as Eli Roth directed it and it doesn't sound like a rubber killer turkey flick...

Seen this over the weekend ! What F$&@ed up fun ride this was had a blast watching it in the theater with a pretty good size crowd. Hopefully we won’t have to wait so long for seconded (sequel) Eli Roth I think has brought back the fun of the 80’s slasher with this and John carver a great new villain for 2023 . Awesome review! The closest thanksgiving slasher we had before this movie was Blood Rage from 1987. There’s a scene of thanksgiving dinner so it counts as a thanksgiving movie! It’s a decent 80s slasher but the killer is unmasked is Blood Rage. A masked killer is more iconic and John carver is no exception! I’m a predicting a franchise for Mr Roth! Happy Thanksgiving Manical Cinephile!

While I’m not a big Eli Roth fan, I did enjoy this movie after reminding myself this is the guy who directed a kid’s movie before this. I enjoyed the gore set pieces & the kills are memorable. The acting was pretty decent too and it was nice to see Patrick Dempsey get to do a movie like this instead of rom-coms or Grey’s Anatomy
