It is so sad to see such unkind comments about two young ladies that didn’t have much of a chance in life from the day that they were born. At least one of them born probably with drugs in her system and both living as children in an abusive home. They lived their lives in survival mode and all people can think about is how they mispronounced words. Come on, we have to be better people 😢

It seems that they spent their whole lives with their adopted family. They were fortunate enough not to have lived in conditions that their birth parents would have provided. I say all that to say this, knowing they were adopted probably was always in the back of their mind but they were not subjected to living in abhorrent conditions. It seems their adopted mom was loving and it also seems that as they reached adolescence they may have had a turbulent relationship with their adopted dad.

🚨🚨I just want to take the time out to say how often abuse happens in foster homes. Physical, sexual, AND mental abuse - at the hands of foster mothers, foster father, biological children of foster parents, and by other foster kids living in the same house. Ppl think giving their child up is the best option, but often times it just introduces them to a new kind of trauma. Prayers to these women and other ppl who have made it through and are healing and trying to find balance and normalcy in life. 💜

This is a very privileged statement to make. Self-education is a privilege. There are places in the US that don’t have access to books for school or books for libraries, so it’s not that easy or accessible. Just because you might live somewhere where books are readily available, that doesn’t take a way from the fact that it’s still a privilege. That, on top of a lack of community resources and engagement and no opportunities to even know what better is, makes that statement tone-deaf.

A lot of older "country people" use a R's and d's to try to sound proper. My aunt use to call my grandmother "mommer"in front of educated people.

The majority of these comments are terrible. It’s obvious they experienced some extreme disparities at a pivotal time in their development in many ways related to upbringing, schooling, etc. Instead of ridiculing why not take a step back and put yourself in check and consider yourselves blessed to have had better opportunities and education than others? Put that hateful energy towards doing your small part to fix the system.

I skipped to the end I couldn’t take the droning on! This took way too long to end. You ladies need to get some counseling to try and heal from the past traumas.

That “approximarily” caught dude in the audience so far off guard that it shook him awake. 😂😂 I do hope they can make amends. They aren’t blood but they’re still sisters. I get the feeling that they really love and miss each other.

So she leaves the foster dads house, then he list her as a runaway so she can come back, but as soon as she graduates he puts her out? 🤦🏾‍♀️ I bet the reason he put her out was because he could no longer get monetary assistance for her.
