I Played 100 2v2 Games... Here's What I Learned. A few weels ago, I played 100 2v2 ranked games in rocket league and documented my wins, my losses and my what I learned. This video serves as a mini 2v2 tutorial guide from me after the 100 2v2 games as I got to learn a lot about my own playstyle and how to improve in 2v2 rocket league. Rocket League 2v2 is always a tough game mode, but if you want to know how to improve rocket league skills and especially your 2v2 skills, it is definitely the best way to go about it. Improving in rocket league and improving your 2v2 skills are by far the most fun thing about the game for me at the moment, so playing 100 games of ranked 2s has been a lot of fun. I hope you can take away some rocket league tips and 2v2 rocket league tips to help you improve in rocket league.

The tennis analogy is 100% spot on, 1 and 2s is mainly about waiting for people to make mistakes. Flakes has some SSL with no mechanics videos that really show you how fast majority of people play the game wrong and give the ball away for free

This vid was SO helpful. I used to exclusively play 3v3, and I recently switched to more 2v2 and even 1v1, and found myself always going back for boost, or in goals when my tm8 was out there struggling, and this video voices my problems! Thanks for the tips, keep it up!

I like what you stated about 2v2s being a 1v1 type of game as long as you can beat one of them. Ive always been a fan of ones so when I play 2s, I find it much easier to adapt when I think of it as a 1v1, just with an extra hurdle to get through first

Paused the video to say it's not just a summary saying "not to make mistakes" this makes deep sense to those that play tennis because now im like imagining what it's like to win a tennis match how you maneuver the ball, what is your next shot, anticipation for your opponent, etc like i already knew i had to be doing that but it just makes sense in tennis mentality, thank you Thanovic for opening my eyes too, tennis is a great sport i love how it brings everyone and everything together 🎾💚

Passing i the best and hardest thing possible, but it gives you the ability to judge which passes are worth going for and which ones arent, factors like, where your teammate is, where your oponents are, what kind of pass is it, can I reach it. It an incredible if honed well, I am still working on. I am watching all three of your vids, 3v3 100 matches next.

The passing thing is HUGE. Most people don't understand that there is essentially no pass to be made outside of a recovery or a strict 2v1 situation. The way to play 2s is to keep possession and open up space for your mate and that's literally it, nothing else, and you do that by grabbing boost, getting demos, taking good 50s and forcing the ball over. Passes aren't something to create an advantage, they're a way to USE an advantage you have created already. "Ehhh, pass more chaser", no, wait your turn and be ready for the follow-up, you donkey, the entire point of my play is to get you a free opportunity, but that requires you to stay out of the play until you can take over.

@scottmitchell9901
@scottmitchell9901 Жыл бұрын
I find demos very risky at times. As they send the opponent back to their half it allows a otherwise perfect goal opportunity wasted cause at the time of the demo they where outta position to save. But spawning back there they have a likely chance to save. Has happened often. My bud has made remarks like "welp I woulda made that if they weren't right there" Nice video. Liked the tennis reference about it's a game of mistakes.
@lulzywizard7576
@lulzywizard7576 Жыл бұрын
yeah, but demoing a person who's about to have a free shot has the impact of your team now likely being in a 2v1 and that 1 is likely awkward. demoing in defense is YUGE lol
@scottmitchell9901
@scottmitchell9901 Жыл бұрын
@@lulzywizard7576 oh i agree. It's both. This video showed demoing a newly spawned demod opponent. So that's good tactic if you guess the right side. 3 seconds turns to 6 seconds of a 2vs1. But it's always risky. I've also had someone come from a far down after getting demoed with a great angle and massive speed and easy goal. I've also been boost starved. Always at 0 to 12 boost. Then demoed. Got 33 turned to 45 and was able to block and make a pass play from the wall. It's always risky but potentially rewarding

You are my favorite content creator!!! Have been for years now. That being said RL has become so toxic and negative and demoralizing its hard to play at all! This game will die due to its players and the awfulness spread. It has shown me that people truly are mean and heartless!! I've been playing for 7 years. Never has it been as bad as it is now. The shelf life in my opinion is expired and good riddance! Sad for me but a necessary evolution

@@neipo if I get mad I try to hold back my anger but I just can't so I end up often hitting my phone or controller off of something and sometimes I get toxic to tm8s too though bc of them messing up, they sometimes go afk or start throwing or both even when winning, I'm wtf do they want me to do? Do they want me to hold in all that stress and anger? If I did that then my sanity would all be gone by now so can they not throw matches, one tm8 literally threw because I said one thing that wasn't toxic imo and we were up by two after I hit a nice flip reset over the opponents whilst having to 1v2 them and in vc my tm8 said that they will play if I apologise and I ain't gonna apologise for that bs

I'm GC 1 in 2's, the only thing that I have to argue is that 1s isnt the best option for getting better in 2s. There are a lot of times that an attempt on net can be good in 2s where that same attempt would be terrible in 1s since there is not another teammate behind you. I think 1s is great for those 1v1 and 1v2 outplays, aka car control and mind games. The mindset between 1s and 2s is definitely a lot different, thats my only gripe about that point. Great video though!
@Kreachur

He's not telling us to take a 1s mindset into 2s. He's saying if you play 1s it'll help you work through your mistakes. Whenever I'm doing shit in 2s I'll jump Into 1s for a few games and then jump back Into 2s and it usually helps me out bro. I'm also usually in the OCE gc2 range like Thanovic.
