I get it that this way we can cancel out all polytheistic religions. But what about other monotheistic ones? And how do I know that idolatory is absolutely wrong like even some christians make idol of prophet jesus and worship it?

Isn't taqleed a fundamental part of shiasm? Or is it just an innovation made in the subcontinent? I've always been told that it's essential to have a taqleed.

There is no taqleed in Usool e Deen... Its only in furu e Deen and only for those who can't perform his duties with proves..so do taqleed But if anyone is a learned man and by himself he can perform his duties by proves so there is no taqleed for him..

Am I doing something wrong if I follow the Shia fiqh but at the same time I don’t adhere with some of the shiis believes ? Is it haram ? I am a born shia and I used to practice without knowing the chore beliefs of shias, but as I question myself about shia believes I found that the concept of 12 imams (as) appointed by Allah swt is a concept that we found in books made by men so not 100% reliable(and I don’t find that the verses of the Coran that shiias use to justify the imamiya are obviously justifying the imamiya..) also I am not confortable with many practices (latmiyat for example, when I see videos of people doing it it is very disturbing and if Taraweeh is a bid’a , I found that latmiyat can be also be seen as a bid’a… Even if it is justify by the fact that it is « just a way of mourning » … I strongly believe that following the teaching of Ahl bayt is the best way, but there are sunnis who follow ahlbayt without doing all these thing, even there is other « sect » of shiisme.. So my question is, is it a sin to doubt about these things? Can I be punished by Allah swt if I am not convinced about Imamiya and all the shias believes ? May Allah swt forgive me if I say something wrong in this comment..

@@moeali9741 alaikoum salam, I mostly watch videos. I read one book once of a ex sunni who became shia and he expose the most common arguments of shias .. but I am still not convince .. I began to feel like it is like all sect, they have their own hadith and they are convince that its the truth .. but when I read the Coran, I feel that all shias practice make me forget my Lord because they are so focus on expressing their love for the Imams … Do you have a book that I can read ?

and I want you to know, you are never doing anything wrong for questioning anything, even your own religion. The whole purpose is to learn and find answers and never to stay ignorant. Avoid videos for answers, if you can research.

What matters is that you are putting the effort in researching and reading and learning from both sects. If everything was obvious then everyone would have been on the right path. It’s a long journey but I hope you (and I) will find the truth eventually.

why prophethood ended with Muhammad?

Because Allah had revealed everything he wanted to reveal to mankind through his prophets and Muhammad (sawa) was the last the last prophet to reveal the last messages of Allah. You have to consider the prophets and the messages they brought into account in order to understand this point. Also, in the sermon of ghadeer e khum, which was the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad before his death, Allah said that "today I have perfected this religion for you." This point further proves that there was nothing "new" for Allah to reveal to mankind as the religion was perfect when he gave the sermon.
