My mother is also easy to please/make happy though in different ways to kitty. My dad has never been able to consistently do those small things for her, even after I wrote him a list. He cannot comprehend her. I do my best to remind her that she's easy to love and do those things for her so she knows it's easy to do.

The actual dancing reminds me of high school and a month of changing from normal PE to Scottish country dancing before the big Christmas dance. I’m 47 and have been married since my early 20s…..never had a birthday gift from my husband ever. Christmas either. Past caring though….i just open a bottle of Tanquerey Orange gin and get wasted!

I always bring my mom her birthday present at Thanksgiving even though her birthday is closer to Halloween. I always send her a card though My dad's birthday we celebrate Thanksgiving weekend except this year it was late. So I asked if we were gonna do his birthday and he said they already did it. So I went downstairs to my suitcase and got his birthday present. We also did our Christmas party this weekend. My nephew forgot to write it down and had a volunteer day at the fire station instead. Luckily we had all of my brothers kids over
