As a native Washingtonian who's been voting for 45 years, I don't know when the criteria changed for voter registration. When I registered to vote you had to provide a birth certificate or naturalization papers, a state ID, & proof of residency like a utility bill in your name. Voting by mail isn't an issue per se, but not cleaning up the voter rolls is an issue that needs attention. Glen Morgan has reported on his website that several folks have reached out to him in the past over their frustration in trying to get deceased relatives removed from the voter rolls.

why do we have drop boxes for MAIL IN BALLOTS? Out here in north snohomish county drop boxes are in isolated places so they can be easily messed with

When I registered to vote, admittedly back in the stone ages, I had to provide my birth certificate AND my marriage certificate because my name had changed. Of course, that was in Spokane and many years ago. I like in person voting, too many opportunities to cheat with mail in voting.
