imagine you take an acid at some place and you say: "all right, i go in 30 minutes, it´s like 20 minutes to home driving 30 max. i can handle the subtle initial effects of the raise that if I don't get home first. but then but suddenly you find yourself with a ridiculous amount of traffic and you realize that the trip they gave you was so fucking good. So you turn on the radio, try to relax and breathe, and it starts to play parabol, and 9 minutes later, near the entrance of the last neighborhood, yo realize how the reality it´s just an ilution of the perception and how many realities may exist simultaneously and how impressive and terrifying is the society now, you see all the houses like a way to auto protect the body of a complex form of life in an extrange and awesome planet in an enormous universe, so you run out scared and then get tired and walk trough your allucinations, you forgot who you are hours ago and you wont know till next day somewhere

first time i heard Tool: when i was around 13 i was recording musicclips on vhs from tv, hiphop, rock, pop...anything. i was doing this for many years. One day i recoded a rockclip and after that came "sober" i stoped recording. i was not interested. but i watched sober to the end and i was into this artstyle of stop-motion creepy charachters. around 10 years later i remembered this clip in my head. i didnt knew the band or the song (now i can sing this in my sleep) but i searched the internet, somehow found it, and listened to it repeatedly for 3 hours while cleaning my apartment. i liked the song so i decided to go and buy me cds from this band without hearing anything else from this band. i bought Lateralus and 10.000 Days. but i was buying some other CD´s too i wanted to listen first. the next weeks when i came from work i played Tekken 5 (fighting game) and i listened to tool while playing. i didn´t liked it, it was nothing like sober. I couldn´t listen it and some tracks made me actually sick. for me it was clear this music its just something for real fans and not for me. i liked Korn, LP, SOAD, Static-X, Disturbed, Caliban, HSB. Tool was not predictable for me enough wich i didn`t knew at that time...for me it was to much experementing, changing rhytms and themes 3 times in one song who does that. (well soad but the tracks are not 11 minutes long right?) but i like rituals and i like to discover music on my own (when i discovered Daughter it blew my mind)...so i played tekken 5 and listened to tool and on the forth or fifth time i didn´t played tekken anymore. i started really listen tool. the next 6 months i listened to nothing else. I downloaded Aenema bc i couldn`t find it in stores for a week... and right when i thought that Lateralus is a masterpiece Aenema became my favorite...i wanted to scratch that tool itch. so i searched for similar Band and so i discovered i like progressive Rock and after that Post Rock. i read about tool and discovered APC and Puscifer the other two projects MJK had. I am Happy to listen to this music anytime i want...It brought me through tough times. (i was and am still dealing with Depression) i was a little disapointed of the last album. but this is my favorite Band and i hope that i can see them life perform 46&2.
