Kannazuki no Miko is a series that has utterly entranced me, I find it so perplexing. I was first interested in the robots, particularly Chikane's Take no Yamikadzuchi; 80s designs philosophies with such a sinister gaping mouth... Read the manga first, and it was terrible. One of the worst things I've had the displeasure of reading. The anime is a miracle, every change is a warranted one. Even though I feel the SA scene is still too much, there's just so much more there that keeps me thinking about it, and I love it greatly. I later read Himegami no Miko, and while I miss the robots, 1970's protagonist Souma, and the super fucked up Chikane, it is absolutely the best story with these characters. The authors, Kaishaku, released an epilogue doujin for Himegami, teasing a sequel with the robots; I do so hope this happens.
