Thanks! And yes - it's that. Funnily enough since we put it in the middle of every shot of the studio it's getting a lot of attention. It's a filter that you operate with one of the greatest knobs on any piece of gear. Definitely going to do a little demo with it soon so people can hear it in action...

Lovely experiments and sounds, and yes, Dan its a huge lover of this stuff, just like you there at soundgas! I think that its nearly impossible, don't get in love for any of those machines.. they're just glorious in every aspect..I mean.. every every everything! Tony, is it possible to sent you an old Binson Echorec to be analysed and repaired from you guys? It's internal components was damaged, (caps and resistors) and the mechanical parts needs a professional and experienced "pair of eyes" on this kind of gear.. I could try to slowly repair it, and look for all your precious info online and expert guys contacts available, but probably it would be easier to deal with you directly.. is it possible? Just to have your door open... Please say something ;) Cheers!

We'd so like to open the door to other people's Binsons, but right now we just don't have the tech time. They take many, many hours of attention from a highly skilled and experienced tech to get to our standard. Many of ours in fact see two different techs to get them all the way. On top of the service time there can be a week or two of calibration where slight adjustments are made and then have to be allowed time to settle in. We're working on finding a way to be able to do it for people, but realistically we are a way off. Sorry we can't help now!

That's one of our Grampian 636 units. Famously used by Pete Townshend for distortion many moons ago (and he still loves them now). Germanium overdrive + spring reverb + magic. We have now made an updated version... soundgas.com/636
