I’m a Christian but I agree with this 💯. We need purpose and value . People want to know they are seen and loved and they are going to dangerous extremism to try to find attention when what they really need is purpose, accountability and divine love which is both unconditional but accountable love

What you actually described is real, tough love put into action like a parent towards their child, not vain and often self-serving love. I think there may be a problem in the limitation of language used. Greek for example has numerous words of depth and meaning for what is simply translated as love in English. Aside from that bit of nuance, I as a Syriac Orthodox Christian completely agree with the spirit, sense, and intention of what you are saying.

The love of God is what changes people and brings them to true repentance. "God loves you" seems cliché, but when a person realizes this in their life it changes them. When they realize all the evil things they were involved in, and realize that God is merciful, they understand a piece of the meaning of "God loves you." If you do something wrong or are even falsely accused of something, people will forever hold it against you, even though they themselves are not perfect. You could do time in prison, even for a crime you didn't commit, when you come out you are not exonerated. But God is Holy and perfect, He sees the evil we do in public, the evil we do in private that only we ourselves know about, He sees the evil we don't even realize we are doing, yet He will forgive a person who truly repents, He will cleanse you, He will clothe you with righteousness and He will call you His own. "I love you" is overused and used meaninglessly, but it doesn't change how powerful it is or it's deep meaning.

This was very good but I would like a more detailed video on this topic. I believe so many people would benefit from learning how to let go of negativity (guilt, anger etc) that oppress them and reck their self worth on a daily basis. Also, a more detailed video on how to increase people’s sense of purpose through action , kindness, including creating meaningful loving connections would be very helpful. People want these things but are clueless in knowing how to achieve them.

The idea that a low self-worth is at the core of our problems is a myth of the pseudo-science of modern psychology. Even Jordan Petersen has pointed out that prisons are filled with people with enormously strong self-worth- self-worth is just booming among the criminal class. Our problem is not a lack of self worth, but a lack of humility, and that is what the Bible tells us, over, and over, and over again. Every fall of the people of Israel came from a lack of humility, not from a lack of self-worth. Proverbs 11.2 "When comes pride, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."

@@applesandgrapesfordinner4626 That doesn’t change the fact that the US’s faulty obsession with pride is part of the ROOT of our problems, and hinders, not helps resolving these problems. I am staggered that a famous Rabbi can contradict the vast amount written throughout the Law and the Prophets regarding this. But one of hundreds and hundreds of examples is Proverbs 11.2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” It’s clear this delusion that pride is something good - decried by the entirety of Abrahamic faiths over and over again - is even today our greatest stumbling block. The Bible also clearly tells us God is entirely self-sufficient. Our self-respect is based on our being images of God, making our worth of EQUAL value to all others. All sins are things that are otherwise good turned into cancers. Pride is self respect turned into a cancer. Gluttony is a healthy hunger turned into a cancer. Lust is a healthy physical love for your betrothed twisted and grown cancerous. Envy is admiration turned into a cancer. We have an obsession with thinking not just of ourselves with respect, but we insist on being better than others. The Rabbi, to me seems to want to create his own philosophy that is better than what the Bible clearly teaches (this is a frequent occurrence among religious “experts” in the Christian Church as well, and always leads away from Biblical teachings). Pride is leading to a clearly bad result, and within 20 years there may be millions of young adults who should have been in the prime of their lives, but turned into lifelong patients by their parents and doctors, who will realize the enormous damage they suffered, driven by the pride of many people -their parents, teachers, doctors, politicians. Humility is what we lack, not pride. We’ll never fix the problem, but at least we can recognize it for what it is.

. Although I’m not religious myself I like to listen to what others have to say. After listening to what the Rabbi explained it made me think. If we could treat people who are having a tuff time keeping on the right path in the way he explains God treats us if we sin. Explain that they are still needed, that we still care about them. More compassion and giving second chances would help more than sever punishments. Off course there have to be consequences after doing a bad deed but we must always think about a way to turn things positive.

The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings.

@@callmeallie1432 I don't want to believe based of personal experience alone. I can enter any feel good state like I did when I was Buddhist. But that doesn't mean it's true to me

Fascinating how religious folks explain 'God' and the spiritual in human terms and ideas. Do these people ever consider that the creative force may not reflect human characteristics at all???

Think about how we create. We write fictional stories based around worlds like ours all the time. As far as I'm concerned, that's an inherited characteristic. Besides, sapient life like humanity is His opus magnum.

The way I see it, it has a lot to do with how you deal with the ego. Which creatures you let in, which groups you identify with, or whether you divide into groups at all. Especially as far as forgiveness is concerned, it is the case that one is far more willing to close an eye when it hits one. Like you said, for example, because your own child has messed up, which is usually part of the expanded ego. Which automatically makes you feel guilty and attacked. Either way, cause and effect. We all influence each other, and if we exclude other groups, if we don't see ourselves as a whole, then we are unwilling, for example, to give up a few fruits to avoid envy and resentment among others aso. Where of course there is the question whether laziness is a cause of differential distribution, or whether it was just the wrong side of the river where you live. Everything is very complicated, and I just want to say that it is simpler and less bloody, if at best you shape your ego in such a way that you unite all life in it and thus identify with life itself and not only with the family, the state, the people, your profession, etc. etc. So in the way, I think in most cases it already fails in your own garden when it comes to leaving nature its order, because it is perceived as disorder due to too much ego and is therefore eliminated. Or more accurately, we are often destroying as much diversity as we need to create the feeling that there is now order and control. It's all a bunch of hard shit, and as far as the meaning of our lives is concerned, why not be a gardener and make sure that as much life and diversity as possible can exist in the smallest possible space? Anyway, greetings and thanks for the video.

God's love doesn't mean you can do what you want and at your own will and think that God is so much love you can abuse of that. God's love means that he has mercy not to remove you from the face of the earth if he desires too.

Atheist say they don't believe in God nor might of the devil. They consider themselves neutral. By no means csn atheist be neutral. At some point we are all influenced by either good or bad spiritual presence.

I always believed that love has conditions. Because there's always a requirement written in any religious books. But God's grace and mercy are abundance. Which people misinterpret as love.

What did you mean that “their existence has no meaning but their life does”? What is the difference between the two words?

Life is connection between ænimus and body. Temporary. Existence is the life of the ænimus. The ænimus is the imperceivable body of light that is our Consciousness and Soul. The thing that animates us and is made of Mana.
