For context:throughout the episode, there is a communication hub, supposedly builded by Peridot for her to go back to her home(Homeworld), and the first part is Garnet and Amethyst fusing, and that's where we first met Sugilite, she start demolishing the tower(not physically destroying them but just knock the pillars down), Pearl wants Steven to be safe because he got hit by a rock piece from the pillar, they leave behind Sugilite there destroying the tower, the warp portal also broke because of a rock piece from the tower, after sometime, Sugilite came backl, but she lost control of "boredom" and Pearl manage to stop her(not exactly since her weapon a whip with a gauntlet attatched hit her head, unfusing them), and the second half is Garnet and Pearl fusing into Sardonyx, she uses her hammer to hit them down, and this continues like a lot of times until Steven had an idea if it was really Peridot repairing it, he brought Lion and Amethyst to check it, Steven was trying to find Peridot when she appeared, but it's just a cactus shaped like her, they waited until a light came, it's the ship that's passing by, the ship is rebuilding the tower until it laded on top, the person who did it was none other than Pearl herself, she's the one rebuilding it, Amethyst and Steven came back to turn on the TV until Pearl came and she said that Peridot is the one rebuilding it, Garnet came and they head out to do it, before fusing, they're stopped by Amethyst and Steven, exposing her nature, and the rest is in the video

Well, i think the eye is purple to signify the fusion of all three of them being able to see through sapphires eye. Considering garnets third eye is purple, fusing with amethyst would only make it more purple. If you notice sugilite is in control of herself, which tells me that garnet is really taking the wheel and amethyst is begrudgingly joining just to get it over with

remember. to fuse you have to feel the same way mentally. emotionally. and match physically. amethyst felt betrayed by pearl too for purposefully making amethyst feel inferior to pearl. she still tried to defend pearl wrongly. as ruby and sapphire fuse to show their love to eachother forever, its the most sensitive and personal thing she could ever do. by fusing with someone garnet shows she loves them. its betrayal in its greatest form to garnet. and i wish they made her mad about it a little longer. she deserved to feel upset and not just forgive off principal of them being the only crystal gems. that trust needed to be rebuilt not given back. pearl acted so smug all the time about fusing with garnet. she wasint sorry she did it she was sorry she got caught in the lie she made. she didnt understand or care that it was wrong only that she was ignored by garnet and not allowed to fuse with her anymore. i love pearl but the lack of growth in the episode got me for a loop its as ruby said. " we always have to be the bigger gem " as they forgave the greatest betrayal of all with no real redemption besides pearl acting sad as they were stuck together unable to get out. just saying pearl should have made more effort to consider garnets feelings and what she was doing. doing this once id say the arch was good. but maybe 10 times or so of doing this over and over and acting like she was innocent to make garnet fuse with her because she was the only choice garnet had to get rid of the pillers like how garnet believed they had to because sugalite was unstable when they got carried away with being strong as their personalities of confidence and being impulsive and showing off a bit. it really shows that sometimes the fusions are out of their reach once fused. fusion is shown to be extremely complex. some could be two different people fighting for control in a fusion like malachite. controled and communicative like how obdision is compaired to alexandrite which is said to be unstable and causes them to unfuse when they conflict internally enough like during the dinner with connies family or to be completely in sync like garnet a perfect mix of sapphire and ruby in balance of hot and cold. calm and fury. she represents balance and love of differences.

Although, the cover is beautiful, I do have some key point in this. 0:27 honestly did not sound right to me, it sounded a little forced in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, the singing was great, it just sounded a little off key and forced. But, on a higher note. 2:37 was PERFECT.
