I wouldn't join in the first place. Grandpa served as a gunner in the Navy, WW2. He passed at 54 before I was born. He had shrapnel in his feet and was approved for disability 2 weeks after he passed.

Why do all of these people in important positions not know what they are doing? Disturbing.
@stevetaylor82984 сағат бұрын
Beyond disturbing, it actually demonstrates a possibly 'holier than thou' attitude commonly present in the administration of many organizations. Where Administrators view 'the workers' as a nuisance, instead of the reason for the administrator's existence. CEO's should look out for this.

Let me explain the flagging process from my experience in the Army. A soldier can fail a PT Test he will be flagged IMMEDIATELY! A flag means he cannot receive any positive actions, can’t flake leave, no promotions, no schools, nothing. The speed and efficiency that the army moves to flag a soldier is incredible. It is probably the most streamlined and proficient thing that they do. I have seen soldiers allegedly fail, a PT test, but not really fail because the test was incorrectly administered and scored before the soldier came back to work from the PT test. That soldier was already flagged. Once the error was found it took months for that flag to be lifted, in the meantime, the soldier wasn’t eligible for any military schools, the promotions that would’ve taken place in that timeframe and was not able to leave an administrative made by a clerk, and then a failure of the chain of command to exercise with the same diligence they had in placing the flag to ensure the flag was properly removed The army uses flags as punitive punishment because all soldiers how slow and effective they are and removing the flag. The flag is simply meant to be an administrative process, but it is used in a punitive manner to subvert the uniform code of military Justice.

I don’t know if people quite understand this, but Americans aren’t only the ones watching these hearings and investigating what’s happening in the current US military, including the disaster that was Abbey Gate, all of the DEI and gender ideology creating policy within the military, etc. Foreign adversaries are have a FIELD DAY, and laughing at what has become of the military, they know the numbers are abysmally low, and they know the military isn’t the super force it once used to be. They also know the current administration is largely responsible for this, so they are sure hoping the chaos continues during the election.

There is the answer why the Army is failing in recruiting. Who the hell was that 3 star General? He is the go along, to get along, perfume princess COL Hackworth truly despised. I have seen/dealt with this character flaw in my service days and I also hated dealing with them. This guy thought it be cute to turn the mike off, fumble to get it on so he wouldn't be grilled more than he could wither. What a friggin pos response he had to questions, didn't know basic Army regs/policies and God help the Army. we are lost. Oh, BTW, the other DOD Army official was even worse; she is going to look into things though, Good Grief.😡

Really wish someone would simply say, you are outside your authority to deny answering these questions, we will see that your budget reflects this. I get the problems with holding up the militaries budget, but if they are flat out defying the people thatsre over them, yes the military is beholden to Congress, then they need to be straightened out. Also, how does that lady have a job if ahe cannot answer the policy questions? I know what policies she makes, the ones that are destroying the Army.

As a retired senior NCO (MSG), how could these officers, who never listened to their NCO advisors ever be promoted beyond 2LT?
@WilliamMurphy-b6v3 сағат бұрын
Who knows who they listen to, but they got to be general officers. Great pay and retirement money. Were they influenced, at some time in their career, by NCOs and enlisted personnel? Probably so, especially in their early years, but neither of us know that for sure. Your comment goes well beyond the bounds of your military service. Thank you for that service. But, I hope you are recalled to active service and dealt with appropriately. Seems not only the senior officer Corps has probIem's, but promotions to senior NCO should be questioned as well.

My grandfathers stormed Normandy and my dad fought in Vietnam. I don't want my grandchildren signing up. America has spent the years after WWII circumventing the Constitutional process to get us into wars, all with no plan to win them. We have betrayed and abandoned soldiers, especially in Vietnam, where it's likely that hundreds were left behind. It's not patriotic to participate in this. It's patriotic to reject this in favor of following our Constitution and a code of honor.

Extremism,for wanting the US to be kick ass, it's insane. You don't see the Russian govenment holding a conference about their people in how they want Russia to be kick ass or China in how they want China to be kickass. So what country are we supposed to want to be kickass since we live in the US and that's an extreme idea to want your country to be kickass, what country are we suppose to believe to be kickass if we can't claim that about the country we live in, or that makes us a domestic terrorist. How ignorant, how ignorant noone told us what country we're suppose to see as kickass, since its domestic terrorism to want the best for our country, which is the United States of America, what country are we suppose to believe that should be kickass?
