I smoked and drank more or less moderately for at least 50 yrs. and at 93, my only hospital internment has been for kidney stones. I was a faithful believer till I became an atheist in a foxhole. The guy reading the bible in the foxhole was telling me I should believe, repent or whatever when I dropped my cigarette and bent down to retrieve it. My holemate had a little shrapnel hole in his helmet by the time I straightened out. Ever since, I've been wondering if Bible reading causes death or if smoking saves lives! What is there to mock or scoff at in believing that there exists a creature so abominable as to condemn innocent finite mortals to the most horrible imaginable infinite eternal punishment for even thought crimes! At least tell me you don''t believe this part of the (ugh) "dogma." and if you are capable of thinking that much for yourself, why not go all the way and discard these ancient Babilonian teachings. Sorry I can't tell you what to believe, as all I know is that I know NOTHING! (and so do you - in reality - and about REALITY)

I had a brain tumor, had gotten radiation and had the top neurosurgeon at John Hopkins hospital, was told that was all they could do because of the location of the tumor-- and --I was given 7 years to live. The 3rd year I was asked to go to a bible study. During he study I was asked if they could pray for me, I nervously said yes thy could lay their hands on me and pray for me --- I have been healed for 31 years! Jesus is always true to His promises, "By My stripes you ARE healed".

But it is futile because if you do this, meet Jesus and overlook him and his teachings for others. That he is the One true God and No One! This gives me chills over my whole body ❤ I heard this about 7 years ago for my first time, I was in the salvation army adult rehabilitation center. My life changed forever upon entering that program. It's entirely based around Jesus! HE is the only way I was able to step away from heroin and crack cocaine, Xanax, etc! I've tried everything I could, but kept failing. HE gave me life, and more abundantly! Life is so so precious, beautiful, and rewarding when I actually started to live it❤

For me, "to follow Christ on His mission" means to attempt do one's best to make all things for all people better (and although I all too often fail miserably) to mimic the teachings of Jesus Christ...I never cease to pray that He embodies me & I never stop with the hope that He allows my heart to lead me as He wishes. I pray that He wraps my eyes with a blindfold, and leads me by my heart. .to treat all people with love...to lend a helping hand when needed...and to nudge (when needed,) but to never push. Be good to one another. That's the best place to start. From there, everything else seems to fall in place. This world IS beautiful. However, to truly view it that way, can be difficult. All too often, we are muddied by information declaring to be from, yet in reality, that which is not of Christ. Try to differentiate, trust the love that guides within you. And never stop studying That which is Truth. Show love to all & remember, that love does not cease, nor is it bound by church house walls. The Love of Christ has no bounds, and neither do we. Judge not, for how can compassion be shared when our eyes fail to show us what our hearts speak. *Note: Although I'm not bella, , nor am I a girl, I hope that you don't find my response to be an intrusion into your conversation. (as this is certainly not my intent.)

I remember this video in my assembly at my school last Friday. Sometimes I'm struggling in life and I find it difficult to grow up when I miss the days of my childhood and with all these politicians and terrorism I'll feel lost in the world. However I keep remembering Dr. S.M. Lockridge's speech desribing Jesus and it makes my day. It has taught me that my Lord and saviour has blessed me with love and he is always with me and for all of us. Now after hearing this I am strong and happy and can't wait for my future ahead.
