Yeah it all depends on what chromosomes you have. XX means more estrogen than testosterone. XY means more testosterone than estrogen. But people have a hard time accepting that most humans, except for certain genetic cases, are only one or the other so.

About no pain in childbirth. My wife is very sweet. At her first birth, I was there being as encouraging and supportive as possible. She reached up, grabbed me by the throat, and shook as hard as she could, saying "I wish you were on this table!" The nurse broke her grip and said "You are going to need him later on, dear."

my mom had a muscle condition that made her stronger than she should have been. my dad said sometimes, if she was mad enough, she could lift him up over her head by his shirt. and he was MUCH bigger than she was. when she was giving birth to my oldest sibling, she apparently grabbed him by his left breast (he said she got under the muscle) and dragged him closer only to say, "You're breathing my air!" then she kept dragging him closer when he tried pulling away to give her more room. he wasn't as close the next two times she gave birth.

I was born in 1961, my mother was born in 1920, so she was 41 years old when I was born way back in the day. I'm 60 now, and have had very few health problems compared to my peers. I guess my mom's eggs had a pretty lengthy expiration date! Oh, and I had my last period at age 56, so I doubt that most female astronauts are post-menopausal. 🙄

i once got in an argument with someone who believed that having a perfectly flat stomach and tiny waist + big hips and butt was more common for women than to be chubby. they literally were arguing that being chubby and having curves everywhere was rare and that they'd never met someone like that. i guess that person never stepped outside lmao

I had my first baby at 32. I'm 5 months pregnant with my second and I'll be 35. I'm so glad I waited, not just financially, but also my husband and I built up a strong marriage and we are WAY more emotionally balanced than we were in our 20s. We're hoping to try for a third before I'm 40.

I was confused about the space thing too. I've known periods to be late due to stress or emotions, which going to space may do to someone (I would personally panic), but I haven't heard of periods just volcanic eruption due to such things. I honestly think the uterus thing confused them since Males share the same tube as their pee and reproductive functions while females do not.

I remember being upset because I got to learn about periods, but we weren't allowed to learn about what the boys go through. They weren't allowed to learn about the girls either since we had to be separated for these lessons. And this was in Public school in the US. I know not all schools are like that, but American schools have been generally prudes when it comes to sex-ed and our growing bodies.

Scotland introduced a law last year aimed at tackling period poverty, which requires local authorities to provide period products for free. We have never classed periods as a disability. Perhaps more remarkably, it was approved unanimously by all Members of the Scottish Parliament, which is rare in politics anywhere these days. Ugh this one made me so mad hahaha. Child birth is hard and contractions hurt so bad I could not speak during them. My husband filmed me while I was going through one and then when it ended. The pain was evident on my body and so was the relief when each contraction ended. I was so hungry right after my little monster was born.

The second time I was pregnant I did know within a day or two. Not because of some woman-spider-sense, but because my husband's cat suddenly liked me again. A lot. Just like she did with my first pregnancy. And she was right. I waited the appropriate time to take a pregnancy test, but she knew immediately. She loved me when I was full of pregnancy hormones.

With all four of mine, I knew and tested before my missed period; however, that’s me and everyone is different. Hell, a small percentage of women have a period for a few months after. Also, a young girl whose been taken advantage of would probably not know, even with a missed period! I can say for a 100% fact, if my daughter came to me as a teenager and told me she was r@ped and then 2 months later, we realize she’s pregnant. There’s no way in hell I’d make her give birth to a child, as a child, if she told me she didn’t want to or wasn’t ready. Id reassure her I’d help her in any way, no matter her decision, having the baby or not, but I would never force her to do either. I think empathy is becoming an extinct notion. People need to stop basing what other people “should” do, on what they would do themselves. You only star in your life. That’s the only one you control. The rest are not only not in your control, but none of your business! I find it ironic, people who completely 100% oppose @bortion, are the same people insinuating just asking their vaccination status is a “violation of their HIPAA rights. While it’s not a violation to ask, how can they assume it’s a violation to even ask, while trying to prevent other women from making their own decision regarding their medical history and their body. Personally, if an embryo of 6 weeks is considered a child, so should sperm alone. Every single sperm is a potential child. Every time a man chokes the chicken, it should be considered the wasting of potential babies! I’m sorry, I’m rambling. I’m just so sick of hypocrisy and ignorance. 1:05 here’s a tip for those who don’t know: men and women both produce testosterone AND estrogen. They’re just at different levels and ratios. When a cis woman is on her period, her estrogen drops and her testosterone spikes, and as cis women get older, their estrogen levels drop. Same with cis men, but with testosterone instead of estrogen.

Ahh!! I love this! I never "felt pregnant" with my son. I was obviously pregnant but never felt it, it was weird. I knew I was pregnant with my daughter within minutes of conception even though it was past my ovulation and I theoretically shouldn't have been able to get pregnant I "felt pregnant" right away. Both my son and my daughter are the best things that have ever happened to me and I do not remember the pain of childbirth, though it was painful, I only remember being utterly in love with each of them as soon as they were born.

When my doctor insisted I "wasn't feeling my contractions enough" and turned off my epidural then told me to labor down for an hour then push for an hour. I was plotting that man's death because my son's head was stuck in my pelvic bone. He refused to listen when I talked and my mother ended up saying to the nurse "if he doesn't listen to her she going to stand up in the stirrups and kill him now." I screamed at him within 5 seconds of those words leaving her mouth and THEN he started listening. He did not perform my necessary cesarean thank God!

True story: Back in the day in school when they split the girls and boys into two groups and had “the talk” with each group. Mine was 6th grade. The teacher literally told us to consider our period was our body’s way of crying because it wasn’t having a baby. My husband and I tried for kids for 14 years, when I got pregnant I knew within about 12 hours. It was all in the boobs, boobs never lie! I told him the next day, he called bullshit. 4:21 i didn't know i was pregnant until I was 7 weeks. I had a normal menstrual cycle my first month except it was a little light and my second one, while it was gone, i was in a very bad living situation while also being a full time education student so I thought i missed my cycle because of stress as i had happen several times in college. Also I have a tilted uterus and I'm big hipped already so I didnt even show until I was 7 months along. That said, I most certainly know how painful it is. My epidural bag ran out just as I started pushing but my doc told me there was no time to change the bag since my son was crowning already. Yea. Ow. This person should try pushing a 7 pound nearly two foot long human from their body. See how it feels.
