Toy makers really are that brazen. Look up some of the web sites and KZbin videos about bootleg toys. They range from insanely terrible knock-offs all the way to bootlegs that were created directly from the original moulds. (For the latter, there have been cases where the Chinese factories that were paid to manufacturer official toy lines would use the same equipment to run bootlegs of the official toys.) Heck, even some bootleg lines were themselves bootlegged, sometimes multiple times.

Putting the car in smash bros. wouldn’t even be the first time a car was in a fighting game. Back on Dreamcast Sega had a fighting game called Fighting Vipers and they had the Daytona USA car as a secret fighter. Weirdly though I don’t recall any snakes or even the Dodge Viper as optional fighters in that game.

The Snyder Darkseid that we saw fighting was a younger Darkseid who hasn't become Darkseid yet. Yeah I know it's confusing but Darkseid's name originally isn't Darkseid but I can't remember it right now. Another funny comic-book rip-off story... Ms. Marvel (now known as Captain Marvel) is a knock-off of Supergirl. Supergirl's Kryptonian name is Kara. On Earth, she adopted the name Linda Lee. If you're important to Superman, you pretty much have to have those L.L. initials, you know? And, being a minor, she was taken in as a foster child by the Danvers family. Ms. Marvel's real name is Carole Danvers, in an obvious homage. Well, when CBS ran their Supergirl show several years ago, they decided that "Linda Lee" wasn't a cool enough name, so they had her go by Kara Danvers. Which means, in a funny way, Supergirl is now the only character to be basically named after a knock-off of herself.

Lara Croft was acctually on Sega first, the first Tomb Raider was initially released on the Saturn and then later ported to PS1, incidently it's also where you can find a fighting Car which could mean it would work in Smash, Fighters Megamix, a mash up of Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers had the Daytona USA Hornet as a playable character where it would stand on it's rear axle and punch using its front wheels while revving.

DC and Marvel used to copy characters fairly often. I don't remember which came first, Swamp Thing or Man-Thing (or am I misremembering the latter's name?). I didn't care, I bought any comic that caught my eye. The can of dog food reminds me of the mascot the fake fraternity of regulars at my favorite watering hole had. It was a large can of Sweet Sue canned chicken. I don't remember how it started, but when they went bar hopping, they'd take it with, put it on the bar, and take photos. Eventually, one night they were so thoroughly hammered, they forgot to take her with them...after all those years of carrying Sweet Sue around. They replaced her, but it really wasn't the same. BTW, if you think canned chicken sounds disgusting, yes, it really is. The weird part, is that they apparently sell plenty of it, since it's still around.

Even the "Revengers" line-up isn't that far from what you'd see in some bootleg toys. Superman and Spiderman teaming up with Power Rangers, classics like the combiner Thomas the Train Transformer, Star Wars Transformers sold as Pokemon, a rabid feral Mickey Mouse, stuffed toy Garfield that is so bad that it looks like a zombie, Mexican bootleg demonic looking Ninja Turtles with 5-pointed stars inscribed on top of their heads and given pitchfork-like weapons, etc... Same for the names, when you see actual bootlegs with names like Specialman (Superman), Robert Cop (Robocop), Nightmare Feddy (Freddy Krueger), Alien Spider (Spider-Man), etc...

I have to disagree with Karl on his stance of Snyder version of Darkseid being lame because he doesn't fight with his hands behind his back. It's shown to us it's younger Darkseid who isn't the same older Darkseid we know. We see older Darkseid at the end of the movie.

He still would have had conquered thousands or millions of worlds at that point, surely he would have the highest level of confidence anyone's ever had in the DCEU during that time. While I do like Zack's works, Darkseid is one of the few things he fumbled, not badly of course, but it wasn't exactly high praise worthy either. Plus, he didn't even have his hands behind his back at the end of the movie either, he just kinda power walks off into the distance.

In his first scene he looks like an angry gorilla, he gets defeated and needs to be dragged away by his underlings kicking and screaming like a baby, which is wierd since why was he there in the first place? He’s a puppet master, he shouldn’t be in the front lines. I don’t care that he didn’t fight with his hands behind his back, I care that he was a completely different character to the one in the characters. People try to defend this by saying “it’s not Darkseid it’s Uxas”, because that wasn’t in the film, and when Diana told the story she called him Darkseid, and how would she know that’s his name if he didn’t use it when they were on Earth?

The clip you show Darkside wasn't punching Superman there's so many actual fight between Darkseid and Superman and the series that you chose the end of Justice League one is kind of sad. What he does is he uses a electrostatic field to basically like Superman's nerves on Fires attacking him through his sense of touch. So that is some mighty Flex on darkseid's intellect is the skill he got from Brainiac whom he is merge with in the fight that you're displaying the clip from. My favorite fight will probably be the fight at the end of Superman the animated series or the fight after dark side has betrayed the Justice League 2 Brainiac and Batman literally has to drag Superman away from that fight cuz Superman wasn't going to leave until you The Darkside was dead he was dead or the ship exploded possibly killing them both
