BTW - that wasn't the atomic bombs at the beginning of the first episode, that was from the firebombing campaign that preceded it. Google "Curtis Lemay Japan firebombing campaign," there's plenty to read about on the subject. It was an extensive campaign of firebombing against Japan's largest civilian population centers. @@bradznkw It ain't overhyped trash though as you are saying it is (at least imo). Sure, the anime could be a lot better in terms of flow and arc-episode ratio. But, try to think of it as the first season is made that way for the production of more seasons (until the ending arc). The animation, emotions, and ost are really good until the final episodes. For me, TPN lived up to its hype. And of course slime is better. Especially since people like you definitely only watch or read battle-driven animes/manga. So, I kind of get why you do not like TPN due to it being a story-driven shonen, at the beginning. If i'm going to define an overhyped anime, it would definitely be Sheild Hero. The story is mediocre to average at best. The characters outside of the main group have zero to little development (other heroes etc.). Though the characters are good, some lack depth and enthusiasm with subpar reasoning as to why they hate the Shield Hero, etc. I could go on and on about the overhyped that is Shield Hero.... but needless to say, I'm still going to read the manga lmao (even though, for me the manga and anime is mediocre to average at best)

@@dimasbram7176 yep, imo. Seen both, Overlord's story, characters, and themes are more in depth. Character's also actually die and there are some crazy scenes. Show makes you actually dislike the protagonist. Reminds me of Dexter or Soprano's where I really disliked the main characters. Don't get that feeling from shows too often. Slime anime seems like a fairy tale compared to Overlord.
