For real, Krillin has some of the best techniques in the series. Scatter Bullet is right up there with Hellzone Grenade (hell, they're basically the same move, just inverted) and there's a _reason_ 18 started hardlining Destructo Discs. I legit died inside when Cell no-sold one, 'cause dammit, if that came from _anyone else on the field_ it would've been huge but Krillin just doesn't have the juice in the tank.

Definitely! Yamcha should have survived it. But then Nappa should have ganked him first. Tien shouldn't have lost his arm so fast. Chiatzu's self-destruct should have hurt Nappa and destroyed his armor. Tien's Tribeam should have really hurt Nappa, and should have toasted him. But then Goku arrives, gives out the senzu beans, and when he starts talking to Vegeta, Nappa pops up and attacks Gohan with a mouth beam, revealing that he wasn't actually dead. Naturally, Piccolo jumps in front and gets fried. Then, we're basically caught up to Goku laying into Nappa like in canon. Same result, but the Z fighters really get to show what they're all about.

To be fair, Yamcha wasn't just trying to show off, he was trying to protect Krillin, cause he had already died once and couldn't be revived again. They all walked into this fight ready to die, and Yamcha was just trying to save his homie for just a bit longer. He just got too cocky and let his guard down and the fuckin suicide attack went off.

Krillin shot out 5 blasts, each one is at least as stronger as a Saibaman with a battle power of 1,200. But he can't handle Nappa who had a battle power of 4,000? 😑

Krillin also admits that blast took “all he had” - though regardless he did have the best chance of killing Nappa with his Destructo Disk (Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon probably could’ve worked too, but he probably didn’t fix the charge up issue yet)

@@PALWolfOS True, but the fact that he was able to uses such an attack means he should have just conserved his power for Nappa instead. But I don't think battle power is linear. As a 1.5 difference in power is enough for a fighter to ragdoll his opponent. Regarding Piccolo's special beam cannon, he was able to use a two handed version of the technique on Nappa, but he either evaded it or blocked it. Also, I don't think it requires him to charge it as long as he did against Raditz. The technique was not perfected yet.

4k for Nappa doesn't make sense, unless he was holding back. Goku wouldn't have needed to use the Kaio ken to finish him off if that was the case.

@@ThatGovrnmntBoy 4k is the official number Nappa had. This explains why Gohan's blast with a battle Power of 2,800 was able to slightly hurt Nappa. Goku did not need Kaio-Ken to beat Nappa. The reason he used Kaio-Ken is because Nappa was ahead of Goku and he was about to unleash a mouth blast on Gohan and Krillin. Goku said he didn't have enough time to catch-up to him, so he used Kaio-Ken.

To be fair Vegeta states the Z fighters almost killed Nappa on four separate occasions: 1) When Gohan ran away after Piccolo and Krillin attacked Nappa. 2) When Chaotzu exploded on his back. 3) When one handed Tien hit him with the solar ray attack. 4) When Krillin used Destructo Disc. Vegeta says if Nappa was slower by just a fraction of a microsecond he would have been killed at any of those four times.

If he doesn't train in the afterlife he gets wiped by Vegeta and that's the end of his story. If Gohan wasn't playing around Goku wouldn't have died but every Z fighter Saiyan plays around with their opponents. Vegeta did it with Cell. Goku did it with Frieza. Gohan did it with Cell and Buu. Trunks might be the exception. I don't know anything notable on Goten's part.
