This is the most effective promo video for a random place in a country I've watched. I really enjoyed not just seeing the studio, but also hearing your clear commentary. I would not have thought about traveling there as a tourist before. Now, I think it would be a fun vacation. Also MERCH!!

To be honest I really love how they replicated the palace with so much detailing and grandeur! Definitely would visit if I have the opportunity since the Forbidden City is always over crowded with people especially wedding photoshoots and overseas tourists... Heng Dian seem like a good place to explore even though it's just a replica, I love the all-in-one kind of environment so I can check out every style of filming sets in just one place rather than wasting time on travelling from venue to venue~

There are over 50 busy production teams in Hengdian, Zhejiang, so you should have a high probability of seeing your favorite actors appear there. At night in the nearby town, the actors will come out to eat.

I would visit! (If I ever get to go to China, I'm Scottish.) I've only been into C-dramas for a year or two but I've started to recognise a couple of the bigger and more obvious sets when they appear in the dramas. It's fun to spot them. I want Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu plushies too.

Zhejiang Hengdian has over 50 crew members filming every day, so you should be more likely to see your favorite actor appear there. At night in the nearby town, the actors will come out for dinner.

Ooh I just went to qin wang gong this past summer! I went to 3 places in hengdian. There's a place to the side of the main entrance where they have a fake roof and a sign that says "the same kind of roof as in the untamed!" It's so funny

VERY interesting. HOW many times have I seen that long corridor(?) high walled & dark in the palace? I guessed it had to be somewhere but where. To know it is actually a part of a palace was a bit of a surprise I guess. But the surrounding building/ palace was fabulous. Recognised so many features from so many dramas. I imagine they buy days to shoot & close off the palace for that time. Wouldn’t you be MOST annoyed if you’d made the trip to find you couldn’t get in because it was closed😢😡. As for dressing up in an appropriate costume I’d be there like a shot. ☺️. Here in the U.K. we have a few places where we can do the same but it’s usually Victorian which let me tell you are anything but as colourful as the Chinese garments of the day portrayed here. Very informative & interesting to watch. And we’ll done 🏆for the 99 steps.

That passageway between the inner and outer walls has been in so, so many series. That looks like a perfect tourist destination for us foreign drama lovers. As an aside...that is not busy. I live in a coastal town in the UK, and you ain't seen 'busy' until you've been here on a summer public holiday ;D

You should see scenes of Chinese people on the move in the recent 11 day holiday. The traffic jams in the street are so long and frozen, people went outside of their parked cars to play chess, cook, and camp. Literally 12 to 20 hours of being jammed solid. Chinese crowds are claustrophobia inducing, literally can be in a crowd where people are squished in touching distance in all directions 😂 I have to mentally adjust over several days every time I'm back there

When I first visited real forbidden city in Beijing, I just could not imagine how the production team could manage to shut the tourists for shooting the scenes..becoz of the crowds...lol hehe..then i learned that they took the shoot in Heng Dian..wkwkw
