Story of Yanxi Palace is the first Cdrama i watched and finished despite of its 70+ number of episodes. I fell in love with their way of acting and the costumes are sooo impressive. Now, i still keep watching cdramas. I have huge respect to all those who make up the production team. They are so creative, talented, and hardworking.

I really like how China also films historical dramas that embraces their culture and costumes back then! I can't believe that The Untamed, The blooms at ruyi pavilion, and much much more are all filmed there! Every historical drama I search up from china are mostly filmed there! It's so pretty and real!!

This video was more about the life of a small time actor than about the studio. I was hoping to see more of the studio grounds and it's sets - - like a tour of Universal Studios. Hope you can do another video that focuses on showing us the many different sets in more detail.

I've searched his name in My Drama List. Yu Peng is doing fine! He appears in a lot of dramas as support actor. Very interesting reportage. The Hengian Studio is in my bucket list, i'll keep watching dramas in the meantime.

I have to admit, when I first heard they build this city studio, I thought they were just wasting money. Never thought it will be a huge success, even the Koreans are making movies there.

This studio is useful for Chinese historical TV series. The demand for this kind of show high enough in their domestic market, no need to export, but actually South East Asian also love this since 1980-1990s.

@@faustinuskaryadi6610 well, I knew Chinese tv series are popular in south east asia. But at that time I thought this humongous studio is overkill. There are plenty of ancient buildings in China that can be used for shooting. I never thought this studio become one stop shooting place, LOL. But what surprised me even more, is that they turned the surrounding farmers into actors and actresses, even though most of them are just extras, still amazing I guess this is what you called visionary.

But, you can't ignore that CCP propaganda in their media that always show massive infrastructure project and also China Dream thing can inspire private company to do same thing (the massive infrastructure project)

It can be competitive and challenging for actors like me since I’m starting my acting career in September 2021 and my goal is to attend Beijing Film Academy to be part of the dramas, TV Shows, Film and movie ^^. As a foreigner actress ☺️, I’m still learning Mandarin even though I’m half Chinese while half Vietnamese & Half Canadian. Hopefully I can be where he is at now in his acting career ☺️. My bf is a scriptwriter won an award at Los Angeles Award. Both of us are Asian and Not trying to show off and such but I hope that for those that is following their path as an actor or actress can have a successful career. 😊

Pity so many of the movies have crazy plots. Acting excellent. Costumes, sets, videography . Excellent. Portrayal of ancient or historical Chinese royal courts - rubbish. Most storylines - no thought in them. Are they written by old computers? The plots are so mechanical.

At least they get paid. Korean drama is hard core, no pay until it hits the box office. Thus better put 200 percent or they starve if it fails in the box office.

Some c-dramas got shelved and never ever got aired, so that would be horrible. I seriously doubt that "no pay until it hits the box office" works for every person in Korean dramas, neither. There is a drama, Jade Lovers, with Korean and Chinese actors. It was filmed in 2016, never aired, and now the lead actress is officially veted because a huge scandal, so it never will get aired.

@@Ravenstar2296 It is a studio complex. There would be other area for all the wilderness, mansions, villages, cities of different era you need. It is way cheaper and easier to film something in a place like that than going into some rural area to film

@@hiraya5769 For example, the palace outside looks great, but if you look closely or try to explore the site you will be disappointed as most are closed off and not maintained. So in essence, everything is fake here and you are just touring a big uniquely designed shopping mall. Which make sense, as here is just a big movie production site.

China has many different dynasties over 3,000 years. Every dynasty has different palaces and styles. Korea doesn't have many dynasties, and may be able to use the same palaces over and over.

@@nomoneyfilmshow5515 ahh yes, they have studio like for the indoors. But actually, the government let them to use the phoenix throne and the whole palace. There are many palace in Seoul so they can use anything. Tourism in palace are scheduled so that, they can shoot in there.
