Batman Arkham knight had kind of a rocky release. Don’t get me wrong it was a very good game and alot of you agree but a lot of you also noted that there were some glaring issues. To give a quick reminder those issues were, too much batmobile, lame boss fights, and a lot of side missions that just felt, “eh”. But the point of a DLC is to expand and improve upon a product and I don’t think one piece of the Arkham Knight DLC really changes that. I do however think that the season pass for Arkham Knight is exceptional for not only the amount of quality content you get but the price at which you can get it.
Something a lot of you have mentioned in the Arkham Knight video and the inFAMOUS First Light video is the idea of paid DLC being something that should have been there from the start. My personal opinion is that DLC isn’t inherently a bad thing. I understand why you might think DLC is something that should have been there from the start and this is true for some DLC. Having Goro locked behind a $5 paywall is of course not ok because he was on the disc, you just couldn’t use it. In the case of Batman, the DLC isn’t something that was ready to go from the gate, aside from the two pre order missions and some pre order skins. Regardless, the DLC is not integral to the experience of Arkham Knight. There are no new story segments, endings, or any radical gameplay changes. It’s just more of what you got in Arkham Knight, so for me, I don’t mind paying for more of what I enjoyed. So if you feel like it's milking the consumer, I totally get that but for me I don’t see an issue because, for a good price, this season pass gets you quite a lot of new content.
Now I know that a season pass isn't technically a DLC as it’s more of a series of DLC and you guys even mentioned that inFAMOUS First Light isn’t a DLC because it’s a standalone download. In my opinion I think DLC can apply to any sort of expansion for a game so something like a standalone expansion IE First Light would fall into that definition. Anywho enough talk about that let’s get into what this season pass includes.
There is a Red Hood story pack, Harley Quinn story pack, Batgirl: Matter of Family, Nightwing: GCPD Lockdown, Catwoman's Revenge, Robin: Flip of A Coin, Season of Infamy, and what feels like hundreds of new challenge maps and skins for your favourite characters. To give you an idea of the value of this DLC let’s take a look at how much value you get out of the main game.It would take you around 17 hours to complete Arkham Knight. I am not including the amount of time it takes to get all the riddler trophies as judging by the comments on the Arkham Knight video, a lot of you did everything but the riddler trophies. I am assuming that the average player would complete all the side missions, and try every challenge map at least once. Of course, your mileage may vary as I found myself losing more time to the challenge mode than I thought I would. Since the game is $25 dollars, Canadian, that means that you pay $1.50 per hour of content. The DLC adds about 8 hours of gameplay, again assuming you played all the new Arkham Episodes and tried all the new challenge maps at least once. Now the season pass goes for about $25 if you already have the game but if you purchase the season pass bundled with the game it works out to about $15. Meaning that you're paying about $3 per hour of content or $1.80 per hour of content. Now of course it’s about the quality of the content, not the length but I can personally say that the content in this DLC is on par with everything else in Arkham Knight and if you don’t like the batmobile then I’d say it’s quality is even greater.

@That Boy Aqua I seem to recall a moment from the comics where she backflips over the Arkham Prison Gateway. About 70 ft or so. So the crazy agility here is very much in tune with the comics. A great detail when playing as Red Hood is that you can still perform a beatdown on a stunned enemy who is too far away, but there is a special animation where Jason will shoot the hell out of them instead of punching them

Something important to be said about the Nightwing DLC is that while outside of GCPD, it did a great job of doing post-Batman Gotham, in the middle of the day, covered in fog. It's a really surreal experience just thinking about how Batman is gone and seeing Gotham in the day.

Freezes story was resolved as he was reunited with Nora and there was nothing that led me to believe that it needed a further resolution. As for Croc the guy was an easter egg in city. This IS the ultimate Batman experience.

I'd call it middle of the road. Take, for instance, the Borderlands series. Each DLC pack introduces a brand new story arc with new areas, new items and hours of content. I think the Season of Infamy was pretty good, but imagine what could have happened if they focused on more stuff at that level, perhaps a chunk of Bludhaven and a Nightwing story there.

I think a dlc that would’ve been awesome was a dlc where you play as Batman try to solve a ton of murders search some abandoned warehouses and then fight Red Hood it would be awesome. And then you have an emotional scene where you turn Jason back to the light and stops killing and then you reunite Jason with the rest of The Batfamily

I did play all these back when the game came out and now after SSKTJL which I’m not playing but it got me back into the Batman mood, I’ve been playing the Arkham games again. I’m wrapping up Knight and playing these Arkham episodes again and one thing I didn’t notice and thought was very cool with Harley was her inner monologue back and forth with Harleen wrestling for control when you go into “detective vision” it made me want to stay in it the entire time and listen to their dialogue

also during the madhatter mission, when your in the story book the graphics change back to arham asylum and then arkham city before changing back to knight. I thought this was an amazing little detail that i only noticed after going back and playing the previous two games and then replaying the mad hatter mission. That was a really good detail and it showed how the game developed in terms of graphics.

I honestly love the expanded bat world as they bring in more of the bat family. Its my favorite thing as they progressed the Arkham games. I like how some of these DLC's bring in other characters, like BatGirls has you fighting alongside Robin, and Killer Crocs has Batman and Nightwing. Its just so cool! I hope Gotham Knights can match this feeling!

I played Arkham Knight multiple times. I play the Arkham series once a year, it's kind of a tradition of mine. These games mean quite a lot to me and when I play it after not having played a year, it feels pretty fresh and fun. Sure, I know the storyline, but that just makes me more excited to get to play my favorite parts. My favorite part of Arkham Knight is when you enter Stagg's Airship for the first time. You spend a decent amount of time in there and there's a lot of sentimental value for me here because I had am amazing summer while I first played that particular part :) Love the whole series though.

Fun fact: as red hood u can throw a grenade at someone and it will stun them the u can do a ranged beat down using ur guns so it’s very nice to see new things added to the game

I just got it for $4. That’s it. I’m loving it. My favorite thing so far is the 60’s batmobile races. It’s so fun to zoom through fun sets from the show in the 60’s batmobile to the classic theme. It’s great

It’s really inconsistent in the story like how technically Tim drake is 16 in the DLC and Barbara is 23 and their dating and how technically Tim drake robin was not robin at the time it was Jason and he had recently died

Like in uh, RWBY, there are names based off of, or exactly the same as real life names, but they're not pronounced that way, because the creators said so. Also, in RWBY it makes more sense because there's no China, or Germany, or whatever. But honestly, I don't really care how names are pronounced.

4:20 you can actually fill the meter up in combat, every execution you do fills it up, so using your combo moves (i think there are 3 in this game, one to take out anyoen who is on the ground, one to dissarm the weapon carrying guys, and one to one hit people, those charge harleys meter because they are treated the same way stealth takedowns are

I just bought the Return to Arkham pack that has everything except for origins (I wish it had been included, but alas) for 15 dollars and playing through all the games for the first time all because your videos reminded me of them. Batman was one of my dads favorite comics and he loved the games back when he was still alive, so thank you for letting me spend some time with him beyond the grave
