No he had killed others he is probably a serial killer, Garden Galaxy S6 E9 pairs of shoes men and women's and children's and all different sizes. He had all those shoes women's and men's different sizes 69 pairs total sounds like trophies

I thought of that,too. Where in the world did all the shoes come from? We don't know exactly what each of his previous arrests were for. Probably leading up to the main events. The computer information was so disgusting. He may have had a paraphelia with the shoes but certainly the adult diapers. RIP 🙏 for the 3 victims of murder and the victims of the aftermath. There was some evidence during the pre-trail that he was into crossdressing, which would explain some of the shoe collection.

@@XXccvm unfortunately he’s in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. When they first transferred him to Edmonton max, they put him in with other inmates and turned a blind eye. He got a beating but nowhere near what he should have got. They should have gouged his eyes out. The guards were not supposed to place him with other inmates, they knew who he was and they purposely put him in danger. Kudos to them for doing that but they only had one chance to do it right and the guys who beat him failed miserably. They could have really made him pay but all they did was beat him up .

You’re right, and the luck of that plane capturing the photo was the other miracle. @@crimson7262 The Brentwood 5 was also such a tragic event. I met Zack and Josh through the local music scene a handful of times when their band played, and they seemed like such awesome guys. I’m sure the other 3 were equally great humans. Pretty messed up that the killer seems to have gotten off extremely lightly. Maybe something to do with the fact his dad is a police inspector? Of course I have no evidence of that, but it’s definitely eyebrow raising.

I know one of the CPO's (Correctional Peace Officers) that works where Garland's being held, and although he was put in a more "quiet" part of the prison, he's not exactly having a good time. For instance he'll probably never eat another meal without spit in it for the rest of his life. He was damn near beaten to death in 2017 being transferred there, and prisoners from other wings all want to take a shot at him for killing a kid. One of the other CPO's overheard a dude doing life for murder at the Edmonton Max talking about Garland, saying he wanted to, and I quote: "Rip his fucking head off and hand it to the guards." Let's just say there's very little chance of Robert Garland dying in prison of old age.

While that’s emotionally satisfying, that’s not how the system is supposed to work. Unfortunately not everyone in a prison is guilty so allowing such violence may damage an innocent person…to be clear, I’m not in any way saying that Douglas is innocent. 1 year later after you posted this video. But I live and grew up in Calgary. When this whole situation happened, I was playing for the same minor hockey association that Nathan played for (Springbank Minor hockey association) and the entire hockey association got custom helmet stickers with a picture of Nathan and his hockey number to put on the back of his helmet. It was extremely upsetting. Would see Nathan at the local rink that all springbank teams practiced at, stopped seeing him and everything surfaced. Affected the community greatly. I know this video was posted a year ago but if you wanted mike I could send you a picture of the helmet sticker for Nathan that I still keep on my hockey helmet to this day, even though I stopped playing hockey when I was 18. But damn, seriously never thought I’d see this case on your channel, extremely nostalgic and saddening to remember this, but I’m glad the story was told by you on big platform that you have. I'm never defending his thought process for revenge at all, but even in revenge, people with some conscience snap out of it upon seeing a child or someone else they perceive as innocent and may leave child or another untouched or stop plot altogether; he didn't stop even with a child there. He was already a monster, and this sick plot unleashed that monster. This poor family lost parents, a child, and one of their own did it callously.

Thank you for covering this case. I am familiar with a lot of true crime cases, and this is by far one of the (if not the ultimate) most disturbing cases I’ve ever seen. I’m also shocked at how little coverage it gets within the true crime world. It happened in my hometown, and my mom actually used to teach at the school that Nathan’s brother attends-and that Nathan himself would have attended. She has met Nathan’s mother on more than one occasion, and says she is an incredible woman and an example of unwavering strength. May Nathan and his grandparents rest in peace, and may that monster responsible never see the light of day again.

@shutyourmouth70
@shutyourmouth70 3 жыл бұрын
@@nicolenotizieeamici even the term psychopathy has become an excuse and a backdoor out for these people. Everyone is conveniently mentally ill when they get caught being evil. I don't believe in the majority of "mental illness" & "molested as a child" claims made by murderers when they are caught. They are lying to lessen their sentence. I was molested as a child too, I never killed anybody. I never have sick urges to murder people as a result of sexual molestation. I am a little dependent on sexual contact with my partner for emotional validation & without it, it fucks with me, & makes me distrust the person I'm with so it has its ripple effects and so on, but frankly, I call total bullshit on the vast majority of mental illness and molestation claims made by people on trial for murder. They are using loopholes in the system to get out of it & I think most people must sense this but maybe they don't coz too many people get away with it. If anything, being harmed myself, I am a hopeless empath, perhaps to a fault, or perhaps to my own detriment at least. It did not make me callous or cruel, but the opposite. Everybody reacts differently but it seems the crueler people have been to me throughout my life, the less like them I become because I hate what they did & what they do & I don't want to be like them. I'd rather be like me, even if my life is shitter because I'm not a predator and I don't gain from others and I'm not hunting to take advantage of people, I get taken advantage of, but at least I know my intentions in my life have been mostly for the good and while good intentions may pave the way to hell on earth, I don't believe they do in death, I believe intentions count and mean a lot after death. Sorry for going on a tangent your comment made me think and remember and one thing led to another so here we are. Main point I mean to say was most claims of "psychopathy" & "mental" illness are some over-convenient total horseshit. I know mental illness is real & should be treated appropriately but frankly I don't even believe current science know the first thing about it in general & in some decades or a century from now people will look back on the current mental health industry as a barbaric, hideous, and stupidly wrong institution, much how our current generation looks back on the mental health industry 100 years before ourselves. Our understanding of the human mind is still very primitive. That's a total other story for another day though but so many people get away with it or get a cushier sentence by exploiting that fact.
