For instance he'll probably never eat another meal without spit in it for the rest of his life. He was damn near beaten to death in 2017 being transferred there, and prisoners from other wings all want to take a shot at him for killing a kid. One of the other CPO's overheard a dude doing life for murder at the Edmonton Max talking about Garland, saying he wanted to, and I quote: "Rip his fucking head off and hand it to the guards." Let's just say there's very little chance of Robert Garland dying in prison of old age.

Dismembering someone also is not easy on a psychological level, some murderers are unable to do it, I mean it takes a real psycho to go trough it. @shutyourmouth703 жыл бұрын
@@nicolenotizieeamici even the term psychopathy has become an excuse and a backdoor out for these people. Everyone is conveniently mentally ill when they get caught being evil. I don't believe in the majority of "mental illness" & "molested as a child" claims made by murderers when they are caught. They are lying to lessen their sentence. I was molested as a child too, I never killed anybody. I never have sick urges to murder people as a result of sexual molestation. I am a little dependent on sexual contact with my partner for emotional validation & without it, it fucks with me, & makes me distrust the person I'm with so it has its ripple effects and so on, but frankly, I call total bullshit on the vast majority of mental illness and molestation claims made by people on trial for murder. They are using loopholes in the system to get out of it & I think most people must sense this but maybe they don't coz too many people get away with it. If anything, being harmed myself, I am a hopeless empath, perhaps to a fault, or perhaps to my own detriment at least. It did not make me callous or cruel, but the opposite. Everybody reacts differently but it seems the crueler people have been to me throughout my life, the less like them I become because I hate what they did & what they do & I don't want to be like them. I'd rather be like me, even if my life is shitter because I'm not a predator and I don't gain from others and I'm not hunting to take advantage of people, I get taken advantage of, but at least I know my intentions in my life have been mostly for the good and while good intentions may pave the way to hell on earth, I don't believe they do in death, I believe intentions count and mean a lot after death. Sorry for going on a tangent your comment made me think and remember and one thing led to another so here we are. Main point I mean to say was most claims of "psychopathy" & "mental" illness are some over-convenient total horseshit. I know mental illness is real & should be treated appropriately but frankly I don't even believe current science know the first thing about it in general & in some decades or a century from now people will look back on the current mental health industry as a barbaric, hideous, and stupidly wrong institution, much how our current generation looks back on the mental health industry 100 years before ourselves. Our understanding of the human mind is still very primitive. That's a total other story for another day though but so many people get away with it or get a cushier sentence by exploiting that fact.

@Mister Emm My view exactly. Unfortunately, I think I am in the minority when it comes to being against prisoner on prisoner violence, not matter how it's justified. Raping someone or continually beating someone because they committed a certain crime only exacerbates the cycle of violence. It truly doesn't sit right with me. However, I don't know what the alternative would be to satisfying societies need for a pound of flesh.

I was in Edmonton at the time this happened. I was doing traffic control on the Anthony Henday ring road for Flatiron Construction. I looked in every vehicle that drove by me for the following week..looking for any sign of a little blond haired boy and his grandparents. what a senseless loss of life. Rest peacefully.

I remember the summer this happened. It was absolutely heartbreaking. Both locally and provincially it left us really shaken, but I also remember that a lot of people were really intentional about ways they could help support the family, and to see people step up like that in crisis was incredibly inspiring. I sobbed watching an interview on the news with the family where the brothers were holding a picture of their older brother Nathan in remembrance , it still hurts my heart to think of it. I’m thankful people like you share their stories thoroughly and with respect without sensationalizing them.
